If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Yellow dubmarine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. - Unforgiven24 Talk|Contribs 19:41, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Yellow dubmarine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Re yellow dubmarine

[edit]

The speedy deletion policy says that "An article about a[n]... organization (for example, a band, club, or company, not including educational institutions)... that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant" can be speedily deleted. I am sorry, but the band may not be notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. I hope this helps, if you have any questions you can ask me or on the IRC channel, #wikipedia-en-help connect. →Στc. 21:10, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If the band is notable, then there should be some verifiable 3rd party sources (see WP:42), such as newspaper articles on the band. I will remove the tag if you can assert its importance in the article, and a reference or two would help greatly. →Στc. 21:19, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough, can you give me a day or so to do such? how many articles? 2-4? ~~Phil~~

I've removed the tag in hope that you will find multiple sources. Please read WP:VRS and WP:BAND to see what I'm looking for. I will be watching the article and revisit it tomorrow, although I cannot guarantee that someone else will leave the page alone. Good luck, →Στc. 21:28, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you , Let me attache a few articles and get your thoughts to see if they are what you are looking for?

What is the best way to insert them in the wiki article?

~Phil~

There is a guide for citing sources at User:Chzz/help/refs. Excellent work, by the way. →Στc. 21:37, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think I got them added correctly ~~phil~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.116.156.250 (talk) 21:42, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Another thing is that copyrighted material is prohibited on Wikipedia (see the first paragraph in WP:COPYVIO). Another editor has removed some from the article, please take care to not do it again. →Στc. 21:57, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Charm City Folk and Bluegrass Festival

[edit]

Hello Pchorney,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Charm City Folk and Bluegrass Festival for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 20:43, 30 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
