May 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Mesh networking may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for December 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kaddish, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gaon (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Russian Transliteration[edit]

Hi Peter, I wanted to talk to you about the transliteration of the Russian National anthem. I realize you are going by a certain method of standardization, but I wish to inform you that the model of standardization that you are using is fundamentally flawed and does not recognize the very real difference between э-оборотное /Ээ/ and есть /Ee/. Ээ just sounds like an [e] when read out loud, where as Ee sounds like [je] when read out loud, Ee is a palatalized vowel with a Yy sound before it, Ээ is not. Furthermore, it is inconsistent between using the letter /Yy/ to represent the letters Йй and Ыы. Most of the time you cannot tell the difference when Yy is being used as a vowel and when it is being used as a consonant. For this reason I took the liberty of replacing the consonants with the letter /Jj/ and the vowels with the letter /Yy/. I kindly request that you revert the change you made as it is an inferior method of transliteration and does not have consistent meaning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.230.224.126 (talk) 13:51, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
