Proposed deletion of Fathers 4 Justice protests[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Fathers 4 Justice protests has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is an almost completely unreferenced narrative about the group's past activities, with a small linkfarm of news articles at the bottom; can't find anything here to merge to Fathers 4 Justice that isn't already covered in the parent article, better worded and with better referencing.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion declined: Talk:Falklands Islands Rifle Association[edit]

Hello Philip Stevens. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Talk:Falklands Islands Rifle Association, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: R2 only applies to redirects from mainspace. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 10:18, 16 January 2014 (UTC)

Falkland Islands general election, 1964[edit]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Falkland Islands general election, 1964, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Falkland Islands general election, 1960. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 18:19, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alejandro Betts, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page City University. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Succession incumbent[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Template:Succession incumbent, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. (See section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) If an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi Philip Stevens! As a Steward I'm involved in the upcoming unification of all accounts organized by the Wikimedia Foundation (see m:Single User Login finalisation announcement). By looking at your account, I realized that you don't have a global account yet. Hi,

Category:Gibraltar election year templates[edit]

Hello Philip. I removed {{Gibraltar elections}} from this category so it could be deleted. It appears to have been created in error, as the majority of the contents were results templates (now moved to the correctly-titled Category:Gibraltar election result templates). As there is only one election year template for Gibraltar and are unlikely to ever be any more, I think the category is unnecessary (we only have them for other countries when they have several (see, e.g. Category:United Kingdom election year templates). Would you mind if I removed it from the category again (the template is in Category:Gibraltar politics and government templates). Cheers, Number 57 20:38, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

I agree with your argument. Feel free to revert my last edit to {{Gibraltar elections}} and put Category:Gibraltar election year templates up for deletion. Thanks. --Philip Stevens (talk) 07:56, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
