Image copyright problem with File:Kaiser birth place1.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kaiser birth place1.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:59, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Demi Lovato pic[edit]

OK, thanks :). I just think there are so many better pictures of Demi Lovato than the one that has been there. I just (obviously) can't find a free one. Whoops! I'm so sorry to have troubled you about it. Howdychicken (talk) 01:23, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Is this image OK to use?? It says it was checked and approved to be valid, but I don't want to change the Demi Lovato picture again until I'm sure that it won't violate anything. Demi Lovato crop.jpg Thanks! Howdychicken (talk) 23:02, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Why did you re-format the Hannah Montana songs page? ONE, you didn't open up a discussion to discuss the changes being made. TWO you don't understand what the page is for. PLEASE tell me why you changed it WITHOUT an open discussion? - Alec2011 (talk) 23:59, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Jake Ryan.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Jake Ryan.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.

Fair use rationale for File:The Wise Little Hen poster.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:The Wise Little Hen poster.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 20:11, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Mortimer Mouse (Outland)[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Mortimer Mouse (Outland) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I'm pretty sure that this is a hoax

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Mickey - Epic Mickey.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Mickey - Epic Mickey.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 02:33, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

Goofy categories[edit]

Please do not empty categories and then mark them for deletion, as you did with Category:Goofy (Disney) films and Category:Goofy (Disney) short films; rather, you must go through a discussion. Moreover, please do not tag an empty category (regardless of how it became empty) with a custom deletion template, because this makes the page show up for speedy deletion immediately; instead, please use {{db-c1}}, which makes the page wait for the standard four-day period. Nyttend (talk) 13:07, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about that. Thanks for letting me know. Pigby (talk) 16:24, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
The "discussion" link that I gave above is the place to go: it's called "Categories for Discussion". You essentially will place {{subst:Cfr|ProposedName}} on the categories that you want to see moved (of course, remember to replace "ProposedName" with your new proposed name!), and then you'll add a template to the daily log of discussions. The instructions on that page aren't amazingly difficult to understand; if you're still not sure what to do, I'll be happy to help with any questions. Nyttend (talk) 04:18, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Donald Duck - Orphan's Benefit.ogg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Donald Duck - Orphan's Benefit.ogg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please remove the tag.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Angr (talk) 12:58, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Mickey Mouse film series, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Blind man's bluff and Chris Bailey (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. Alice Comedies[edit]

I wonder if you liked my solution for the Disney's Alice Comedies series since its seares and I think it would be fair to list it only on the List of Disney animated shorts, rather than both, since some Alice shorts don't exist any longer. I think it would be lot of unwise work to messure runtime how much animated and how much life action. So I think since the main idea with the series was actually animation and since the amount of animations per short rised as the series progressed its fiar to include it on the animation list, but I left note on the List of life-action Disney shorts to explain the situation in the 20ths selection there, Do you think I should do the same for the animation list?. If you want to dissuss it further you can leave me a note on my talk page or here or on talk page or on of those articles? 157.157.233.117 (talk) 01:22, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
