Brooke Lyons' birth date (Part 2)

I had to bring up again, but Brooke Lyons' birth year is still believed to be 1980. As it is said on her IMDb profile, which is also linked on her official website. After searching on Google, that is also the only year I could connect her to. Also, I asked her twice through Twitter if the date on her IMDb profile is actually hers, no response, not that I blame her, it is an odd question to ask in general on Twitter, anyway. I'm thinking maybe, just maybe that the full date on IMDb is correct. Yes IMDb is not considered 100% reliable, but is a known fact that actors themselves, edit their own profiles. It is said so many times that "anyone" can edit IMDb like here on Wikipedia, when that is not true at all. IMDb clearly states that "When submitting/correcting a date of birth you *must* include: URLs to public records, printed publications, or official documents to accompany your submission". Birth records websites can only be accessed if you are a already member and/or must pay a fee. No one should obviously go through that trouble just to find a birthdate. Well, just wanted to let you know about by progress on this issue. QuasyBoy 23:30, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

I certainly admire the effort you're putting in to finding a reliable source! I'm going to sound a bit like a broken record here, but IMDB has been shown time and time again to be unreliable - I have personally responded to angry emails via OTRS from Wikipedia subjects who dispute the accuracy of the information we have in their articles, specifically information that was sourced to IMDB. It is simply not reliable enough to be used with any certainty. There is absolutely no draw back in keeping the date out of the article until it can be confirmed (which is actually what BLP policy dictates we do), her notability and place in Wikipedia is tied to her roles and coverage, not her birthdate. I'm certain the year will eventually be verified in a source meeting WP:RS, and on that day I'll buy you a virtual beer :) --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 00:07, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
P.S. If you think I'm being overly-cautious, please do feel free to bring it up at WP:BLPN to get additional input. If you do, could you please pop me a note here to let me know? Cheers, --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 00:11, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
Well thanks, again. It just that besides Wikipedia, IMDb and a few other sites, information like is user-submitted and user-populated, it terribly difficult these days to determine which site is a "reliable source". Hohum, Until next time. QuasyBoy 00:43, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

Max Bernstein musician page

Hi Ponyo -

I have edited this article down a bit to reflect that fact that this is a very not-well known musician with very little relevance other than a hired gig for a major pop act. The prior expansion of the page copied excessive information - nearly every factoid in it, from an obscure published interview, one of the only ever published on this obscure artist. As there are many far more accomplised guitarists with much shorter pages, it doesn't make sense to have information on say, the songwriting process of someone who has sold under 2000 copies of any one particular song, etc. Tacomailman (talk) 22:59, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

If the information is reliably sourced there is no need to remove it. Please bring up your concerns on the talk page to allow other editors' input as opposed to blanking the content. You're not really "editing it down a bit" so much as pulling out all of the content. If you have major concerns regarding Bernstein meeting Wikipedia's guidelines for notability then the appropriate place to discuss it is on the talk page or via AfD. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 23:06, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

André (singer)

Accuracy in Wikipedia is important.

Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is a self-proclaimed republic because the independence is de-facto and not de-jure. The unilateral independence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is not internationally recognized by the United Nations and also by Armenia and is de-jure part of Azerbaijan (de-facto not under its control and jurisdiction). — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 17:42, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

None of this information is pertinent whatsoever to the André (singer) article. If readers want to know more about the naming intricacies and politics of a region or country they can click on the wikilink provided to learn more, the POV description is unnecessary in this unrelated article. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 18:14, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

I link to YouTube, something I've seen others do countless times, and now you're threatening to block me? Get a life, jerk. RMc (talk) 15:58, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

It really doesn't matter what other people do, you are responsible for your own editing and ensuring you are following Wikipedia policies. When a policy is pointed out to you, especially one as bright-line as our copyright policy, and you choose to ignore it, then it is completely reasonable that your account be blocked to prevent further disruption. It was not a "threat", it was an explanation as to why the link should not be restored, along with a pointer to the relevant policies, and a warning that continued linking to copyright violating material would result in a block. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 16:08, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

Abhin Galeya edit

Hi ponyo

I have seen that my latest edit in Abhin Galeya has been undone - please let me know what is the promotional material you think I should remove - are reviews and quotes alright to put on - and links to interviews etc? I want to give a more detailed account of this actors career than what is there - please let me know what I can keep in what I have written - thanks for your help Zebbush (talk) 21:02, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

The majority of what you wrote was blatantly promotional in nature. While the addition of neutrally written material accompanied by a reliable source is welcome, adding reviews, quotes and promotional links is against Wikipedia policy. As I noted on your talk page, if you are at all affiliated with Galeya please review our guidelines with regard to editing with a conflict of interest. It may be better to use the article talk page to suggest changes you would like to see to get feedback prior to making the edits. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 21:09, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

help triage some feedback

Hey guys.

I appreciate this isn't quite what you signed up for, but I figured as people who are already pretty good at evaluating whether material is useful or not useful through Special:NewPages, you might be interested :). Over the last few months we've been developing the new Article Feedback Tool, which features a free text box. it is imperative that we work out in advance what proportion of feedback is useful or not so we can adjust the design accordingly and not overwhelm you with nonsense.

This is being done through the Feedback Evaluation System (FES), a tool that lets editors run through a stream of comments, selecting their value and viability, so we know what type of design should be promoted or avoided. We're about to start a new round of evaluations, beginning with an office hours session tomorrow at 18:00 UTC. If you'd like to help preemptively kill poor feedback, come along to #wikimedia-office and we'll show you how to use the tool. If you can't make it, send me an email at or drop a note on my talkpage, and I'm happy to give you a quick walkthrough in a one-on-one session :).

All the best, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 21:43, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

Do you have a suggestion

Hello P. I am wondering if you have any suggestions for a situation that I've just come across. This new editor Ronlammers (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · edit filter log · block user · block log) looks to be someone messing with long time constructive contributor Donlammers (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · edit filter log · block user · block log). Now this was four days ago and it doesn't seem to have bothered Don much so I don't think there is any action needed right now but I am wondering where the best place to report this is should they resume their activities. WP:UAA? I hope that your spring is progressing nicely and cheers. MarnetteD | Talk 23:11, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Edit Summary

I am presuming that f/u here stands for "follow up" but when I caught it on my watch list I assumed it meant "Fuck you". May I suggest that you try to avoid this harmless edit summary in case some trigger happy humourless admin misunderstands your intent and blocks you? Cheers Spartaz Humbug! 16:46, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

  • Just to be clear I'm neither trigger happy not humourless and I am also not an admin... Spartaz Humbug! 16:48, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
f/u is commonly used as an acronym for follow-up, but I could see how some could possibly misconstrue the letters into something less civil. I can't imagine that a trigger happy humourless admin would be able to retain the mop for long if they are going around blocking other admins for a possible variant of a common term, but stranger things have been known to happen here. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 16:54, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Dispute with a user

Hello again Ponyo. I am in this useless edit war with User:LiamNolan15212, over what appears to me as a redundant subsection on the Milan Cheylov article. Not only that but the user is using a TV show Wiki as a source, which is user-submitted. I left messages on his talk page, he deletes them, I have reported him to the noticeboards, I have been ignored. Just look at his edit summaries for the article, his reasons for keeping the sub-section are little... out there: [1] Help me out please. QuasyBoy 17:38, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

Please respond, I could use an administrator's advice. QuasyBoy 17:43, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
I'm in the middle of looking through the edit history now...--Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:45, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
From what I can see there is nothing that an admin can do here as it is essentially a content dispute. What I would do specifically regarding the Cheylov article is to seek a third opinion on the talk page. If there is consensus for your preferred version and LiamNolan continues to revert, then an admin could step in. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:50, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

Preston North End Dan

I know you've interacted with this editor on a few occasions in the past and wondered if you could take a look at the tagging I've had to do on images he's uploaded? (10 either deletes or tagging for further investigation as strongly suspected to be copyvios) I think there might be reasonable grounds for a topic ban on uploading of media until he acknowledges that he understands wikipedia copyright policy and agrees to abide by that policy, what do you think? Stuart.Jamieson (talk) 13:14, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Hi Stuart - I have indeed tried to work with Preston North End Dan regarding his history of BLP violations. It appears he's now moved on to copyvios. I'll poke around and see if there are any admins who work with images who would be willing to take a look and act accordingly (whether that would be an image upload ban, a block, or a stern final warning). Thank you for letting me know! --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:16, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
Ponyo, Just thought I'd let you know that I've found a Quacking I.P. - I've listed it for a checkuser to take a look at Wikipedia:SPI. Thanks for the help cleaning their edits up in the past. Stuart.Jamieson (talk) 13:52, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
That was a clear case of WP:DUCK (see this for example) so I blocked the IP - he's been using it for a long time, so I've locked it down for a month. He's also used this same range previously to attack editors after I left a warning on their main account. Note that this is not a CU block, just a run of the mill blatant block evasion block. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 16:25, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

sorry I don't have any wikipedia account. I have seen that the page "Geoffrey Grey" composer will be delated. I'm really very surprised because he is a very important composer. He wrote lots of works and has been recorded.

You can find a CD called "Diversion" in the German publisher Blumlein.

I know Geoffrey Grey and I think he must be editing in Wikipedia.

You might contact the composer Nigel Keay on his website. He will agree with me.

Actually, Geoffrey is composing an oboe concerto.

I know that we can 't see lot's of things about him on the net because he is a very secret person who don't like to share his life on the web.

I hope this article will saty on Wikipedia.

A big NPT update

Hey! Big update on what the developers have been working on, and what is coming up:

  • Fixes for the "moved pages do not show up in Special:NewPages" and "pages created from redirects do not show up in Special:NewPages" bugs have been completed and signed off on. Unfortunately we won't be able to integrate them into the existing version, but they will be worked into the Page Triage interface.
  • Coding has been completed on three elements; the API for displaying metadata about the article in the "list view", the ability to keep the "patrol" button visible if you edit an article before patrolling it, and the automatic removal of deleted pages from the queue. All three are awaiting testing but otherwise complete.

All other elements are either undergoing research, or about to have development started. I appreciate this sounds like we've not got through much work, and truthfully we're a bit disappointed with it as well; we thought we'd be going at a faster pace :(. Unfortunately there seems to be some 24-72 hour bug sweeping the San Francisco office at the moment, and at one time or another we've had several devs out of it. It's kind of messed with workflow.

Stuff to look at

We've got a pair of new mockups to comment on that deal with the filtering mechanism; this is a slightly updated mockup of the list view, and this is what the filtering tab is going to look like. All thoughts, comments and suggestions welcome on the NPT talkpage :). I'd also like to thank the people who came to our last two office hours sessions; the logs will be shortly available here.

I've also just heard that the first functional prototype for enwiki will be deployed mid-April! Really, really stoked to see this happening :). We're finding out if we can stick something up a bit sooner on or something.

I appreciate there may be questions or suggestions where I've said "I'll find out and get back to you" and then, uh. not ;p. I sincerely apologise for that: things have been a bit hectic at this end over the last few weeks. But if you've got anything I've missed, drop me a line and I'll deal with it! Further questions or issues to the usual address. Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 17:14, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

I do apologize, but I have no idea what you are asking me to do. Is there a problem with Nayef bin Sultan bin Fawwaz al-Shaalan? Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 22:16, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

Nayef bin Sultan is Prince Abdul Rahman's son-in-law and took part in smuggling, reading his page referenced above. I add this info to Prince Abdul Rahman's page but you deleted it several days ago. I hope you understand now. If you delete it, then you should also delete it from Nayef bin Sultan's page. Allright??

If Prince Abdul Rahman's son-in-law was implicated in some sort of scandal, then it could be included in the son-in-law's article (worded neutrally and supported by the requisite reliable sources). It would be WP:UNDUE to include it in the father-in-law's article as it is only tenuously related to the individual and his notability. It introduces negative material that is not actually related to the individual himself, running the risk of guilt by association (see WP:BLPSTYLE where this is discussed). In addition, the negative content you were trying to add was unsourced which is why it was removed immediately in accordance with BLP policy. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 18:26, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

New pages patrolling

I noticed you were a new pages patroller. I was thinking of getting involved in patrolling, but as with many things at Wikipedia, the initial steps, even for a moderately experienced editor like me, are a bit confusing. I've read some of the material, policies, etc., but I'm still unsure how best to wade in. Any suggestions? What about tools - are any of them helpful (beyond Twinkle, which I already use)? Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:43, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Sorry about the delay in replying, I was unexpectedly offline for a couple of days. I don't do too much new page patrolling these days; when I do I simply go to Special:NewPages and patrol about 5 days back (you have the option to "jump in" to the middle of the list in the first text box at the top of the page). I do it all the old-fashioned way, I've never used any semi-automated tools for editing, so I can't help with recommendations there. There are some exciting new developments in the works - make sure to pop over to Wikipedia:New Page Triage and sign up for the newsletter in order to keep up to date with the roll-out. I don't want to be a part of Edit war rather i would love to be a part of discussion. However I am continuously seeing new links from reputed newspapers, websites and other sources and unable to understand why are you deleting them grossly. I think we must talk on the same. I find ujjwal patni very much notable (WP : BASIC WP: ANYBIO, WP : AUTHOR )

Revision as of 22:04, 20 April 2012

((1) this is not notable enough for the WP:LEAD; (2) organization itself may not be notable at all; (3) a picture is not an adequate source (WP:OR under reliable sources))

Clarification -

(1) If you don't find it notable enough in the lead, it could be included in the award section, Pls suggest.

(2) The organization is a training accreditation non profit organization so It would not be fair to question the notability of the organization. They are not stating that ujjwal patni is no 1 or single. They have published a list that shows the renowned trainers as per their evaluation parameters. We are no one to challenge their parameters. By any measure, this inclusion surely indicates the quality of his work as a Trainer.

(3) The name of ujjwal patni as a renowned trainer can be seen there with his image and the whole list is presented in the same way so nobody can deny this inclusion. We must relate the inclusion with other achievements to authenticate in case of doubt. This inclusion is supported by the Best Corporate Trainer of India Award mentioned in the award section that supports the quality of work of subject.

The certification is also displayed on the website as an additional source. After relating contents of the page, I don't require more citations.

Regarding Tarun Kranti Award/Puraskar

Clarification -

(1) I have cited a link that clearly mentions Dr Ujjwal patni as the chairman of Tarun award. All the other ctations contain photographs to support the same. However I am looking for more citations on this.

(2) I have cited the original press release from the government department of Public relations of Madhya pradesh , the biggest state of India. This citation asserts the importance of award as The Governor of state himself presented the award and made an official press release too. This is sufficient enough to make it notable.

(3) I have also cited newspapers giving prominent coverage to Tarun Kranti award with photograph . If we don't understand a foreign language, we can relate the photos very easily. In India the main language is hindi, so the subject is right in presenting the citations of top hindi newspapers of india.

(4) As an additional source, a link of Ujjwal patni's website is added, which presents a special page on Tarun Kranti award puraskar with photos.

(5)The winners are all prominent personalities and already have a place in wikipedia thus justifying the notability of award

The citations are very reputed with proper title, publishing date and the publisher details. All the citations from multiple sources focus exclusively on the award and winners in same context. By relating all this , i feel that Tarun Kranti puraskar is important enough to be presented specifically so a special section has been created. I would request you to talk before deleting.

Need your help for the wiki page Ujjwal Patni

Dear Sir,

We need your genuine help as we are not good at working on wiki. Previously also you did justice to the page of Ujjwal patni and saved it from speedy deletion last year.

We are not able to to make the subject more notable because he is already having the highest of achievements of his field. The biggest problem is that the indian newspapers do not keep the links alive for long time however the achievements are clearly visible on Google. We have presented some fresh links and we need your help.

Kindly guide us regarding establishing ujjwal patni's notability. How can we make the subject more notable

Prestigious awards - He is the winner of Guinness world record, one of the prestigious Government award Pt sunderlal sharma literature award, Best corporate trainer of India award and many more.

About Books - He is the author of six books on leadership , motivation and network marketing that are published in 12 languages. That is the highest number of Indian languages for commercial publication.

He works nationwide and also in other countries as a corporate trainer, motivational speaker and author.

Kindly see the developments done on the page and help us to improve this page sir.

The article is not currently at risk of deletion, there is a clean-up tag alerting other editors that there may be an issue with regard to notability. What I would suggest is to review Wikipedia:Notability (people) and then to note on the article talk page which points of the notability criteria you believe that Ujjwal Patni meets. Other editors can discuss this with you, and if there is agreement that the notability tag is inappropriate then it can be removed. I can also take a look around to see if I can find any independent reliable sources to add to the article. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 15:38, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
P.S. A link does not need to be live to be used as a reference. If you include additional details such as the name of the newspaper and article, the date of publication, and the page on which the article appeared in the print edition, then the reference is verifiable and valid.Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 15:38, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

Dear Contributor,

Thanks for your wonderful advice for ujjwal patni. We have done considerable changes with lot of new links. Pls have a look and guide further. We are working hard to understand the whole system so as to match your quality parameters.

Just curious why you rv Category:Agatha Christie from this article. You cited "WP:BLPNAME/OTRS" but neither BLP (she is long dead) nor OTRS applies per my reading. THanks. Yours, Quis separabit? 15:48, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

The category was removed inadvertently; I have restored it. WP:BLPNAME applies as I removed the name of the private individuals you added to the article, if they are no longer living then please feel free to restore the names (or I can if you'd prefer). WP:OTRS applies as I was responding to privacy concerns raised via the OTRS system regarding the article.--Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 19:09, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

New Pages update

Hey Ponyo/Archive 13 :). A quick update on how things are going with the New Page Triage/New Pages Feed project. As the enwiki page notes, the project is divided into two chunks: the "list view" (essentially an updated version of Special:NewPages) and the "article view", a view you'll be presented with when you open up individual articles that contains a toolbar with lots of options to interact with the page - patrolling it, adding maintenance tags, nominating it for deletion, so on.

On the list view front, we're pretty much done! We tried deploying it to enwiki, in line with our Engagement Strategy on Wednesday, but ran into bugs and had to reschedule - the same happened on Thursday :(. We've queued a new deployment for Monday PST, and hopefully that one will go better. If it does, the software will be ready to play around with and test by the following week! :).

On the article view front, the developers are doing some fantastic work designing the toolbar, which we're calling the "curation bar"; you can see a mockup here. A stripped-down version of this should be ready to deploy fairly soon after the list view is; I'm afraid I don't have precise dates yet. When I have more info, or can unleash everyone to test the list view, I'll let you know :). As always, any questions to the talkpage for the project or mine. Thanks! In need of some suggestions

Hello P. I need to pick your brain about a long term but sporadic problem. Beginning last January a series of IP's from Rhode Island began messing with the

article. They constantly add actors and characters that were not nominated for the award. Here are the incarnations that I have tracked to date

This first one was a hassle as they had already been messing with several articles for sometime before I caught them and I had to dig into the history to fix things
I think that they thought if the created an account that we wouldn't check their work.

As you will see they occasionally add the fictitious nomination to the actors article as well. My dilemma is this because they take days or weeks off I'm not sure that a report to AIV will work as they will just wait out a block or switch IPs and go right back to their pesky ways. The same applies to RFPP. Again they would wait out a temporary protection. The only solution would seem to be a "Indefinite semi-protection" but I know that this is a "last resort when all else fails" kind of thing. The one reason that it might work is that info for past years won't change so there isn't any real need to edit it. When the new nominations and awards are announced they can be entered by an established user or an IP can post an edit request on the talk page. When you have a moment please let me know what you think and I will proceed from there. Thanks for taking the time to read this. On another note I was sorry to see the Canucks depart the playoffs so soon but maybe that will give you more time to enjoy the spring weather. Cheers MarnetteD | Talk 00:08, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi Marnette - sorry for the delay, I've been away on holiday. I will be wading through my watchlist over the next day or two to try to catch any overt vandalism or BLP issues then will take a look at this ASAP. (And the best thing I can say about the Canucks is that...well I suppose their golf swing is improving?) --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 23:08, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
Welcome back and what a nice place to be on hoiday in. No hurry they haven't been back since I left this but every time I think they are gone for good is when I find a new bogus edit. Cheers. MarnetteD | Talk 00:28, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I'm essentially back in the wiki-saddle (so to speak) and have looked at this. The edits are disruptive enough that blocking is certainly an option (and one that has been used previously with regards to Moviegeek266). Ping me if they pop up again (under any account or IP) and I'll lay down some preventative blocks - it could be that if we nail down a few of the IPs for a decent amount of time we will be able to avoid semi-protection. Although I intend to be around daily for the foreseeable future, please don't hesitate to send me an email if my response time lags; I always keep an eye on my email due to my AUSC commitments. Cheers, --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 23:04, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 19:26, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

I wouldn't say it's urgent to get a source in place as the information isn't particular contentious - it's better to wait for a reliable source than to add something sub-par (and screencaps are a no-no). Thank you for your contributions! --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 21:21, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

New Page Triage/New Pages Feed

Hey all :). A notification that the prototype for the New Pages Feed is now live on enwiki! We had to briefly take it down after an unfortunate bug started showing up, but it's now live and we will continue developing it on-site.

The page can be found at Special:NewPagesFeed. Please, please, please test it and tell us what you think! Note that as a prototype it will inevitably have bugs - if you find one not already mentioned at the talkpage, bring it up and I'm happy to carry it through to the devs. The same is true of any additions you can think of to the software, or any questions you might have - let me know and I'll respond.

Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 13:26, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

I'm wondering why you reverted an edit on this article today? As far as I can see there was no reason to? --Trappedinburnley (talk) 17:30, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

The edit was made by an indefinitely blocked editor who was evading their block - many of their edits are the addition of unsourced content and other disruptive edits and therefore they have been reverted. This particular edit does indeed appear valid so I have restored it. Cheers, --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:36, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

Hello, Thank you for your feedback on the edits I made to the page Jonas Anderson (singer). I understand and respect the concern Wikipedia has in wanting to keep things factual and nuetral, so I wanted to ask for your help in sorting out the problem I have with this. I did a major edit on this page to make it factual and current as well as much more informative since the original article had almost no information, was very brief and majorly lacking in detail. In no way was I attempting to create an article that would be biased or leaning in any particular way. All of the information I included is 100% factual, and in fact verifiable, only this is difficult in English as almost all the information on Jonas is in Thai since he is known in Thailand. There is some information in Swedish too since he is Swedish. I did include links to two articles by Time Magazine available online and also a link to another independent website that had an English interview with Jonas. In the interest of providing the public with factual and more detailed information on Jonas Anderson, I would like to ask that you reconsider disallowing my article edits. Or else would it be possible to more specifically inform me what parts of the article were deemed not neutral so I can adjust it accordingly since I am new to Wikipedia editing? Being as Jonas Anderson is not Thai, there are frequent times when non-Thais want to look him up online for information which the article now really does not provide. Thank you.

Lookthung (talk) 09:11, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Just wondering if you had some feedback for me regarding my questions relating to my edits on the page Jonas Anderson (singer) I am eager to hear back on this. Thanks. Lookthung (talk) 06:17, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

The article edits as written cannot be restored as they violate several Wikipedia policies (mainly neutrality and verifiability). Please do add information, but you need to ensure that the material added is supported by reliable sources and is not worded in promotional tones. Using promotional buzz words such as "meteoric rise to fame", "Jonas attained instant nationwide recognizability" and "Before long Jonas Anderson had become a household name" makes the article non-neutral and this, combined with the lack of sourcing, is why your edits were reverted. The page WP:MOSBIO is helpful in describing how a Wikipedia biography article should read and WP:BTIP outlines useful tips on writing biographies. I hope this helps.
