Crossposting into medical articles[edit]

I (and a few other editors) have been removing content that you have been crossposting onto various Wikipedia articles, under the heading "Patient Safety". This content is not on topic for these pages, and appears designed to promote the web site doctella.com and the work of Dr. Peter Pronovost.

Please do not use Wikipedia as a promotional tool for yourself or your web site. Thanks - EronTalk 18:14, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for the note. Overwhelming research shows patient safety is a critical component that can help surgical patients.

Do you feel comfortable if we remove reference to doctella.com which is a free website. --User:ppydr

It's not just the web site, it is whether the content belongs on all the pages you posted it on. By my count, you added identical text to at least 21 different pages. Patient safety has its own article, and it may be that some of your content should go there. But the same text does not need to be put on every Wikipedia page having anything to do with surgery. - EronTalk 20:15, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

Eron, thanks for the update. We believe patient safety is a key issue that should be in every surgery. You are right that it makes sense to consolidate information about patient safety into the main article about patient safety. I will add content to the patient safety article.
