Dear Proger, ""The only music impresario of Persian heritage" - this is not source about him nationality.". His official site says "The only music impresario of Persian heritage". "Heritage" also means: "something possessed as a result of one's natural situation or birth". You see the "birth" word. As for modern concept of nationality, he is Iranian. "Persian" also means "Iranian". "Persian" is not what you call "Fars" in Turkic. Here is the English wikipedia not Turkic one. Overall he is of Persian heritage. This cannot be turned into "Turkic heritage" or "Turkish heritage" in no way.--Raayen (talk) 00:50, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Azerbaijani Armed Forces

[edit]

Stop your personal revert-war in Azerbaijani Armed Forces. You make dramatical reverts without even discussing anything, what your doing is vandalism and Im asking you to stop reverting without explaining and discussing. Baku87 (talk) 07:47, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits

[edit]

Hallo. Just a friendly reminder that by engaging in revert wars (e.g., your most recent revert of Golbez and the insertion of the controversial map on the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic) related to Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, you are subject to the general restrictions of the arbitration case as specified here Armenia-Azerbaijan 2. Thank you.--Marshal Bagramyan (talk) 21:03, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Russian language

[edit]

Stop reversing my edits about Russian language being the vehicular language of Azerbaijan. All Azeris I know speak fluent Russian. Plus, I didn't wrote that it was given official status.Mitch1981 (talk) 17:05, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You've got some nerves reverting my edits without notice. If you go to facebook, skype or any social network you will see with your own eyes that Russian is widely spoken, even among the youth. I never pretended that it had official status. I just said that it was a lingua franca in Azerbaijan just like in most of former soviet union. Remember that an encyclopedia is also supposed to refelct real life. If you don't give an acceptable answer within four days, I will put my edit back and I'll do it again and again. I'm not afraid of arbitrationMitch1981 (talk) 17:47, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well you can start with Wikipedia itself wich uses this map in the article about Russian language [1]: it clearly put Azerbaijan in the same category as Tajikistan, Uzbekistan or Uzbekistan where Russian is officially recognized as the language "for interethnic communication"Mitch1981 (talk) 18:37, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure you really know what you're talking about because the Constitution of Tajikistan DOES recongnize Russian as a langauge for interethnic communication[1] : "Русский язык является языком межнационального общения". There is even a controversy about President Rahmon intention to revert it [2]. Since, I'm not sure you're really competent about all this, I'm putting my edit back and I'll do it again and again. My be aarbitration would be better.Mitch1981 (talk) 05:08, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on OUR Technology, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. NowCommons: File:Independence1990.jpg

[edit]

File:Independence1990.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Independence1990.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Independence1990.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 08:36, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Map of ADR.jpg)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Map of ADR.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. File permission problem with File:Resulzade.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Resulzade.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. dave pape (talk) 03:37, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, the image still needs source information - i.e. where you got it from, and details on when & by whom the original photo was taken. This is important firstly for encyclopedic reasons - something to support the claim that it's a photo of Rasulzade; and secondly to provide evidence supporting the license. --dave pape (talk) 18:14, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The term "South Azarbaijan" is historically meaningless; I had never encountered such a contrived construction! What possibly could be your source for using such name? For details, you may wish to consult, e.g., this article. --BF 14:59, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Abulfaz Elcibey.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 19:37, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please Read

[edit]

Please read WP:RS. Random websites, UNPO (nothing to do with UN and it is just a website of several organizations), journalistic materials and etc. are not considered reliable sites. Ethnologue, CIA factbook, Library of Congress and etc. are considered reliable sites. If you find an academic book that gives your numbers, then state it. Else do not use websites which are not authoritative. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Khodabandeh14 (talkcontribs) 15:53, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Caucasian Albania

[edit]

Hi - adding the Azeri name in the lead of this article doesn't respect Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names) as Caucasian Albania never had such a name when it existed: Turkish language entered the area much much later. The fact that the territory of Caucasian Albania is now partially part of Azerbaijan is irrelevant.
Please also remember that you have already been warned about the general restrictions of the arbitration case as specified here Armenia-Azerbaijan 2. In this regard, stop edit-warring otherwise I'll have to report you; stop also mischaracterizing my edit as "vandalism" when it obviously isn't, otherwise I'll also have to report you.

Mi-24 photos

[edit]

Hi Proger. I understand you've taken flights in Azeri Mi-24s and have shot photos of the aircraft while in flight. This is really great news, to have someone on wiki who can tell us about the Azerbaijani Air and Air Defence Force. Would you please mind telling us about it? I'd really like to know specifically about the unit you visited, the reason why they let you take photos, how you managed to go flying with them (did you know someone in the unit?) how many Mi-24s you saw, whether they looked well-maintained, how many flying hours the unit was getting, whether they got much weapons practice, whether the pilots were very experienced, etc etc. Please do tell me - maybe we can write it up for the WP:Signpost - Wikipedian gets helicopter ride! That would be fantastic! Look forward to hearing from you, kind regards Buckshot06 (talk) 10:40, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:IbadHuseynov.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The article Shahriyar Majidzade has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk.
