Hi, thanks for message. Hadyn Ellis clearly meets our notability criteria, but the article as posted had several major problems

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the subject, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the subject claims or interviewing him.
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: leading UK psychologists... his pioneering research... His influential review of this field in 1975 rightly remains a landmark paper— and so on...
  • The article was a copy-and-paste. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by him, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; Simply asserting ownership of the copyright or permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

I hope this helps. If you decide to go ahead, you might look at other science biographies such as Pamela C. Rasmussen to get an idea of layout and referencing. You don't have to use the fancy reference templates, just <ref>[url description]</ref> for web refs or <ref>[publication details]</ref> for books etc will do. Let me know if you have any further queries.

With my last comment, I suggested added some more sources but as the article seems generally acceptable, I accepted it but I suggest adding any more available sources overall. Cheers, SwisterTwister talk 08:36, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
