British Ice Hockey[edit]

Hey, really nice job on those year by year British overviews. I have researched British hockey for a long time and am the one who originally compiled a lot of the material found in the articles.

I have a few queries that maybe you can help me with as I try to further my research.

1. Where did you get the info on the 1976 Icy Smith Cup? I never found anything on the earlier rounds myself. Great job there. Do you think more info could be found on earlier Icy Smith tournaments as well?

2. Where did you find the London Lions-United Services semifinal score from the 1930 British Championship? That result had always eluded me before now.

3. I see you have used The Times as a reference not infrequently. I don't live in Britain so I lack easy access to the archives. Is there any way to gain access from abroad? Perhaps you could search the newspaper for some specific information I am looking for (will specify later if it comes to that).

If you want, we can discuss this further via email. Let me know what works for you. Keep up the good work. --Hockeyben (talk - contribs) 06:15, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

Hi Racingmanager. Thanks for your reply. Hopefully Sunday Times will be made available to your library soon and you can further your research.

I am looking for English domestic game results from 1926-27, 1927-28, 1928-29, 1929-30 (Southern League), and 1930-31. If you are able to pass on any of these details that would be most helpful. --Hockeyben (talk - contribs) 16:53, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
