Reverting at Henry the Hermit[edit]

Hi. Please read Wikipedia:Fair use for information on how to use unfree-copyrighted content on Wikipedia. Galleries of screenshots in a short article do not meet the criteria we ask for. More information can be found at Wikipedia:Image use policy and Wikipedia:Fair use criteria. Please review any other unfree images that you have added to articles. Thanks. License tagging for Image:Otis1.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Otis1.gif. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:07, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Don't remove AfD tags. If you wish to join the discussion you may do so. If you continue to remove the tag you may be blocked for vandalism.—WAvegetarian(talk) 05:13, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your allegations that I am trying to delete it are unfounded. Another editor, as shown by the article history placed the AfD tag. This tag specifically states: Feel free to edit the article, but the article must not be blanked, and this notice must not be removed, until the discussion is closed. I am merely reminding you of this fact. Please do not take the AfD as an attack on you personally. It also doesn't mean that the article will be deleted. There are featured articles that have had AfDs on them. Join the discussion and make the article worth keeping. I'm sorry if you felt bitten. I'm sure that wasn't Rob's intention.—WAvegetarian(talk) 05:23, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your list IS valuable[edit]

The list you created is up for deletion. I want you to know there is a place for it: http://wikitistics.com . No one will be able to nominate it for deletion because it fits one simple rule: it's a statistic, list, or figure. Good luck with your endeavors! JM

Reverting Kyle Hollingsworth edits[edit]

Not sure why you decided to change the subheadings on Kyle Hollingsworth to sub-subheadings, but this doesn't seem to conform to Wiki style guidelines. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikify

I saw you did the same on some other pages you edited. If you think I'm wrong let me know. Oblivy 03:29, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sci cd asci.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sci cd asci.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Did you read the World Heavyweight Championship history page too? yup, still nothing that says the WWE version of the WHC has the same linage as the WCW/NWA version. The WCW/NWA version's linage ended with Chris Jericho being the final champion. Read your own page. -- bulletproof 3:16 01:51, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on List of top WWE Champions by combined length, by 69.208.79.178, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because List of top WWE Champions by combined length was previously deleted as a result of an articles for deletion (or another XfD)

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting List of top WWE Champions by combined length, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate List of top WWE Champions by combined length itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 05:47, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Rumrogers jr cutout.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Rumrogers jr cutout.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Kobold new main.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kobold new main.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Glass joe.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Glass joe.gif. Thanks for uploading Image:King hippo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Image copyright problem with Image:Arcade bald bull.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Arcade bald bull.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

The following images also have this problem:

Punch-Out!![edit]

Besides the fact that you keep adding strategy guide information on how Glass Joe works (which IS strategy guide information, no less than saying to people how Bowser acts and moves), stop making such absurd changes to the article, including flat-out removing almost everything not related to the characters. - A Link to the Past (talk) 20:22, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Detailed instructions: Saying that a character can jump, shoot, and drop bombs is helpful to understand the game, but avoid explaining button combinations or cheat codes."
"Strategy guides and walkthroughs: Basic strategy concepts are helpful to understand the game, but avoid details about how to solve puzzles and defeat certain foes."
"Excessive fictional details: A concise plot summary is appropriate to cover a notable game, character, or setting. Information beyond that is unnecessary and should be removed, as articles should focus on the real-world elements of a topic, such as creation and reception."
You seem to be under the impression that because these people are in a real profession, they should be treated as if they were real people. That's NOT how Wikipedia works, that'd be like saying a fictional director's works should be mentioned if a real director's works are. - A Link to the Past (talk) 20:46, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You include trivia "Bear Hugger is similar in size to King Hippo", you include unsourced content "everything", and you include moves. Them being boxers is the least important aspects of them. They are fictional video game characters, and have no more right to extraneous information than any other character does. Being a boxer does not entitle them to the same rights as real boxers' articles, and there's nothing to even suggest such a laughable notion. Piston Hurricane's signature move is trivia, Bald Bull's signature move is trivia. - A Link to the Past (talk) 21:37, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Notice

The article Junk band has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to be WP:NEO, nothing comes up about the supposed term in reliable sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:03, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
