Reference changes[edit]

Hi Rashti. I have reverted your changes to Franco-Mongol alliance. I realize that you probably mean well by trying to update sources to the most current edition of something, but these are citations we are talking about. So if information in an article is cited to a particular year/edition of a book, that's what should stick. Now, if you want to update the entire section of the article that uses that source as a reference, that's fine, but you'll need to make sure that the information is properly reflecting what is in the book, that the page numbers match, and so forth. If you do such a thing, please state this clearly in the edit summary, "Updating source to latest version. Content matches, and page number has not changed."
