Image Tagging for Image:100 1254.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:100 1254.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

License tagging for Image:359.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:359.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:04, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

A supposition of German heritage? The surname is certainly an Irish one...

Discussion Blanking

[edit]

Hello, happy holidays. Could you kindly let me know what reason you see for blanking the entire Talk:Patrick McCabe (rugby player) page? The way I see it, the general rule is to leave all discussion intact, unless of course it constitutes vandalism. I've reverted the blanking, please let me know if this was in error. Cheers, --Tractorkingsfan 05:37, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Amanda Flynn, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --VS talk 13:12, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Kerr nielson

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Kerr nielson, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Dethme0w 05:03, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moving pages

[edit]

Hi there. Be careful when moving pages. Each time you move a page, you create a redirect. If you move a page more than once, it creates double-redirects which slow down navigation. Also, I recommend you have a read through our manual of style.-Wafulz 13:09, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Steven Goh, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Rattlesnake6646! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 741 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Matt Unicomb - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Scott Coyte - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
