Request reason:

The wiki page on Rahul Gandhi is full of speculation and alleged corruption that uses articles from pioneer and boloji.com as references. A careful review of the referenced articles shows that the referenced articles show that the articles dont talk of what is being mentioned in the wiki page. The page on Rahul Gandhi is clearly the handiwork of some individual with a biased political POV. Suggest complete rework. I will be posting the edits made by me on this talk page for review.

Decline reason:

I am declining your request for unblock because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    • understand what you have been blocked for,
    • will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    • will make useful contributions instead.

Please read our guide to appealing blocks for more information. TNXMan 02:12, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

The reason given for blocking my ID is rather vaguely put as "blanking". What i have done is edited out the false references that are purely designed to malign an individual. How does one go about editing the page or placing it under review? The article on Rahul Gandhi as it stands is clearly written in a very biased way and thus UNACCEPTABLE. We reserve the right to undertake any further legal action as may be necessary to get this issue resolved.

Decline reason:

You are free to take any legal action you deem necessary, however by raising the issue that you intend to take legal action if you don;t get your way, you have made a legal threat (see Wikipedia:No legal threats), and as such, you are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while, at the same time, you are intending to pursue legal action against it. Please contact Wikipedia's legal counsel, Mike Godwin (contact information is at User:MGodwin) and you can hash it out with him. -- Jayron32 05:24, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please understand that threatening legal action is not going to get you unblocked. You're free to threaten to sue but we have a stated policy (WP:LEGAL) of not allowing you to edit while such threats are in place. Please try to work with us to resolve the situation. This request does explain your reasons for challenging the block. The normal way you go about editing a page is to click "edit this page" and then discuss with others when they disagree with you. As far as I can tell you did this. I did not identify an edit in which you were "blanking:" you edited the page. Apparently someone disagreed with you quite thoroughly and undid all of your edits, but the normal course of action in such a case would be for them to explain their reasons for doing this, to point out any policies they think you might be unaware of and/or are violating, and set the stage for further collaboration. Personally, I don't understand why you are blocked, so I am asking YellowMonkey to explain his decision here. Mangojuicetalk 03:48, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
