King Kong vs Godzilla[edit]

That whole U.S versions section is info culled from pages 87-90 from Japan's Favourite Mon-Star. It's already cited.Giantdevilfish (talk) 02:21, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Okay I dug through all my source materials and added a couple of more citations. I also split the Steve Ryfle citations into two sections. Bear in mind a couple of things here.

1. I have almost every single published English language materials on Godzilla, whether it be books (including old out of print ones) or old magazines and periodicals. None of these books/magazines go into as much detail as Steve Ryfles book does in terms of the U.S version of the film. (The 5 Japanese Godzilla books I have don't even acknowledge the US versions). So in terms of indepth information, that's pretty much it. These other books/magazines just touch upon the Americanization of the film. So don't think for a second there are huge abundences of info out there.

2. I broke the Ryfle citation into two parts rather then explicit page by page citations, because what I did was consolidate the info in those pages into the paragraphs that I wrote. For example it mentions on one page Warner Brothers as a potential distributer, and then mentions Universal two pages later (so I just put the two together in one sentence). It mentions on one page the cost of filming and editing the whole picture ($12,000), and mentions how much was spent paying the script writers ($3,500) on another page so I just added it up for the combined cost ($15,500). etc. etc.

So I think the citations are more then enough. Let me know what you think.Giantdevilfish (talk) 01:10, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Year linking[edit]

This page explains that stand alone years should not be linked. The years linked to "...in television" should not be linked unless that page holds more information on the actual tv show. --Ghostexorcist (talk) 17:08, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

I guess the "...in television" would educate people on the trends of the time. --Ghostexorcist (talk) 18:08, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Just want to know[edit]

You never got back to me on this. Did you happen to catch it? I'm still interested in reaching a conclusion. Please reply below, Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 20:03, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, it's been too long and I've lost track of this one. What was the issue at hand? Rhindle The Red (talk) 00:32, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
It was when I made these edits to Batman (disambiguation). Weren't we going to discuss that? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 01:55, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh, yeah. Just too many other things going on, it fell by the wayside. I, personally, prefer a direct link to the page in question; i.e Marques Houston, American entertainer sometimes nicknamed "Batman" or some such. Particularly in his case, as he does not seem to have used it consistantly throughout his career, so he isn't *always* known as "Batman". I also basically favor direct links whenever possible. Rhindle The Red (talk) 02:12, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
But what about the guidelines? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 02:16, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Well, the closest thing to this case it the example they use in Delta quadrant. The guideline says that a link to a redirect is preferable in that case, but I think that is because it will bring the reader directly to the place they want to go on the Galactic quadrant page. But the redirect for Houston is just going to the page itself, not a part of the page, so it makes sense to me to just link directly to Marques Houston. Rhindle The Red (talk) 03:09, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Ok. If you are going to make a change to the Batman dab, can you get to Hitler (disambiguation) and War Machine (disambiguation)? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 03:33, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Jessie (Toy Story)[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

I have nominated Jessie (Toy Story), an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jessie (Toy Story). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Superman video games Discussion[edit]

I wasn't sure if you ever read my last response for merging the various Superman Video Games pages. So I'll retype it here to make my case. As I've said before, each of them on their own are really short and to my understanding some stub pages are deleted if further info on the topic isn't provided. By merging them, they lose the stub status and those who made an effort to put them up to begin with don't have to have their hardwork deleted. Antiyonder (talk) 15:21, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Talk: The Star Wars Holiday Special[edit]

Hey I was just wondering why did you undo when I erased the South Park section? And why did you leave my sentence "The Star Wars Holiday Special has nothing to do with South Park so I am removing this section" on there? Sailor_Moon (talk) 17:48, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Re: Superman (disambiguation)[edit]

I'll explain a few things. First off, the redirect in this edit is preferred over its target link according to the examples at #Linking to a primary topic (note that I'm referring to the redirect School (discipline), not the primary topic sample) and #Exceptions. Second, all entries not also known as "Superman" belong in the see also section or else they get removed per #Partial title matches (I don't think that there's such a thing as too long a section). And lastly, we can't use "Superman or Supermen may also refer to:" since MOS:DABINT tells us not to format dab pages in that manner. Does that answer your concerns? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 20:47, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

I'll leave that updating to you. However contrary to what you said, if you read the infobox at Adventures of Superman (TV series) you'll notice that it says "Also known as Superman, etc.", hence, the discipline of the redirect. Take a look at this edit made by my mentor, JHunterJ. This case is no different than that one. Now are you convinced? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 20:06, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

RE: Batman (film)[edit]

I suppose removing it makes sense. OK ;) Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 06:53, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

File source problem with File:R3d3.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:R3d3.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:02, 27 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Lәo(βǃʘʘɱ) 06:02, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Rock Savage deletion proposal[edit]

You've posted several improvements (thanks!) to the article about Conrad Brooks (the actor from Plan 9), so I'm hoping you've heard of Rock Savage (film producer). There's a debate currently in progress about whether Rock Savage is notable enough to be included in Wikipedia. Your opinion would be appreciated. Please note that the discussion should be about whether Rock Savage is notable, not whether his work is any good. Please visit: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rock Savage (film producer). Proposed deletion of 1-800-NEW-FUNK[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article 1-800-NEW-FUNK has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is no evidence that this album is notable.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
