[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

This is very sweet Jorm. Does that mean you are an Administrator? Should I obey your every whim? Is it time to move a service such as Wikipedia OUT of the USA perhaps? Is the Electronic Frontier at risk? Did Aaron Swartz sacrifice so much for nothing?
Legal threats
[edit]Hi. FYI, you should avoid suggestions that a particular edit might result in lawsuits (see WP:Legal threats), for example in the edit summary of this edit). Best wishes. --RegentsPark (comment) 18:32, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
A discussion as to whether material is libelous is not a legal threat.Rian Geldenhuys (talk) 20:22, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
Warning about remaining civil
[edit]Your post at the Teahouse was unacceptable. You have no cause to call everyone there 'evil'. This is not a US project, but a world-wide one. If you can't manage to remain WP:CIVIL, then Wikipedia may not be the right platform for you. Nick Moyes (talk) 17:18, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
Hi Nick Moyes - I am asking why I am sanctioned for having "shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States". If you can not help me with the reasons then please just say so. No need to be uncivil with me.

Request reason:
Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address when using Cloudflare Warp is 8.35.59.58. But even when I do - on whatismyip.com it still picks up my own public IP as 105.184.15.99. Is it possible for Wikipedia to somehow update the tool to work like WhatIsMyIp? Then we can still use Cloudflare Warp and our IPs will show up fine. My IP address if I do not use Cloudflare Warp is 105.184.15.99. I using the Internet as a normal user on South Africa's TELKOM aDSL network. It is definitely not a web host at all. I am not sure why Cloudflare Warp would be considered a web host. Please help with information. Rian Geldenhuys (talk) 12:55, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Cloudflare warp is specifically blocked as a colocation webhost. You will not be able to edit while you're using this service. SQLQuery me! 11:55, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
