July 2016[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Sro23 (talk) 04:41, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have violated WP:3RR. If you reinsert that again, I will report you to the edit warring noticeboard. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:33, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for July 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2016 Democratic National Convention, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bob Casey. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Reverting your edit on John F. Kennedy, March 2017[edit]

Thank you for your goodfaith edit of changing the infobox image of JFK. But the image "the white house portrait, looking up" has been decided by consensus. If you still think the image should be changed, kindly start a discussion on the talkpage, and follow the consensus.

I have explained the same on Talk:John_F._Kennedy#JFK.27s_infobox_photo, but after taking a look at your talkpage, I felt onliged to mention it here as well. Unspecified source/license for File:HarganPortrait.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:HarganPortrait.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

"The Honorable" prefix for sitting SCOTUS Justices[edit]

FYI, the prefix "the Honorable" is only used for retired SCOTUS Justices, and not for sitting Justices. I reverted your addition of the prefix to the articles for Justices Sotomayor and Kagan. See the explanation at at this discussion for more information. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Best, -- Notecardforfree (talk) 19:22, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Damien M. Schiff has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.  I dream of horses  If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message  (talk to me) (My edits) @ 01:49, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Infobox officeholder is for holders of political office. Refer to Template:Infobox officeholder/example[edit]

I have reverted the following edits:

Also, it appears as you are editing as both Rmichaelrugg and 148.75.181.122. If that is correct, please just stick to the Rmichaelrugg. Jb45424 (talk) 10:28, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted my edits for Colleen Barros and Dan R. Brouillette, since it appears political appointees my be acceptable. (The example page includes an Ambassador and a Supreme Court Justice. Jb45424 (talk) 10:46, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Trump. v. International Refugee Assistance Project has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No references. No text.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Good morning, I appreciate you trying to get a jump on this, but we can't do it this way. The 2016 term has not concluded and the 2017 term will not start for months. More important, the list you created and its ordering is fictitious. We have no idea what order the Court will decide cases it has set for argument (or even if it will decide certain cases by opinion rather than summary order) until it starts doing so. Do I have your consent to delete this? I think it may qualify for speedy deletion, but I prefer a conversation first. Thank you, postdlf (talk) 16:35, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Mark Tatum (deputy commissioner), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017[edit]

Hello Rmichaelrugg,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
