Factoids[edit]
Just compiling some random crap:
- whitehouse.gov came online in 1993
- Here's a great story about working there in 1996: [1]
- senate.gov and www.house.gov came online in 1994
- thomas.gov came online in January 1995
- NSFNET stopped being the backbone in 1995
Finding info on pre-95 sites is hard! How about:
- Bianca's Smut Shack
- Femmes Femmes Femmes Je Vous Aime
- Digital Picture Archive on the 17th floor
- WWWW - the WORLD WIDE WEB WORM
- The Spot
- HotWired
- Cool Site of the Day
- The World-Wide Web Virtual Library
- Lycos
- David Siegel
- Doctor Fun
- http://www.museumofbadart.org (1994)
Lootz*[edit]
This user, operating as User:Lootzyne21 and now as User:Lootzynewiki appear to do one thing only: insert links to www.topten4men.com on a variety of pages, typically marked as minor. He's been warned, but never responds in talk and has switched accounts at least once (and I have the feeling I've seen other accounts too, but can't find them). Here's a typical edit: [2]. Normally I'd go through the warning cycle, but this is so clearly a spam-only account of very specific focus, so I thought I'd bring him up here. Little help? · rodii · 16:47, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, duh: add User:Lootzy. · rodii · 16:52, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- And User:Lootzyne, and User:Encyclo1. I'll just keep chattering away down here. · rodii · 14:14, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
