Notice

The article Instarea has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not convinced this company passes WP:NCORP. Most of the coverage listed looks like routine business activity (fails WP:CORPDEPTH) and the Medium piece is an interview (so not an independent source)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. shoy (reactions) 14:27, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

Are you employed by, or being paid by, Instarea to improve their Wikipedia article? If so, you must disclose this fact. Please follow the instructions at WP:PAID. shoy (reactions) 14:42, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No I am not nor am I being paid anything for this. I merely thought I'd create a page on a company I found super interesting and whose work happens to be in my field of study and interest. I'm very confused at this. I originally posted enough reference links to remain as objective as I possibly can and when after the latest notification of conflict of interest being posted after I found a Gartner publication on them, I really do not know how to fix this or make it even more objective than it already is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rohandanielisaac (talkcontribs)

You say that you need to "remain as objective as I possibly can". You either are objective in regards to this company because you have had no previous dealings or employment with them, or you are not. The issue with the sources that you are providing is that none of them are in-depth, independent reliable sources. All of them are routine coverage of business activities, directory listings, or inclusions on non-notable lists of awards. See WP:CORPDEPTH. shoy (reactions) 14:40, 25 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Shoy, I Understand. What I meant by "Being objective as I possibly can" was making sure the article stood by Wikipedia standards in terms of content, coverage and references with me especially trying to hide my excitement in what I found to be a totally revolutionary company to write about and eager to share with people. So I was a little confused when you asked me if I was employed. I totally understand the current issue with the article and will look for and make the appropriate changes and add the needed references. Thank you for your patience.
