ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Romanian general election, 1992[edit]

Hello. Just wondering what your source was for this figure for the National Liberals? Cheers, Number 57 00:14, 11 February 2018 (UTC)

Response: The source was the corresponding web page of the National Liberal Party on the Italian Wikipedia: Partito Nazionale Liberale.
OK, best to remember Wikipedia isn't a reliable source. If a table isn't sourced in another Wiki, it's not a good idea to copy the figures across. Cheers, Number 57 15:33, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
I see and I'll certainly keep that in mind in the future. However, the electoral difference between the results at the Senate and Chamber respectively was not that significant for the PNL back in 1992, as you can notice. Rosenborg BK Fan (talk) 20:54, 17 February 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Culture of Romania, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Romanesque (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:39, 27 April 2018 (UTC)

Bucharest Photos[edit]

Hi! Thank you for your improvements on the Bucharest article, especially with respect to the new photos that you added! It looks so much better now! Would you be able to do something similar to the articles about other Romanian cities? I've myself added photo collages to some of these cities a couple of years ago, but some of them could be massively improved; general pictures throughout the articles, including photo galleries, also need updating. I'd be happy to help on this. PS: poti sa rapunzi si in romana daca preferi, am scris in engleza fiindca suntem pe en.wiki Razvan Valentin Marinescu 10:13, 12 May 2018 (UTC)

Response[edit]

Thank you for your positive feedback and for appreciating my edits. As a matter of fact, I have already tried to improve the images and photograph galleries of several articles concerning other Romanian cities (for example you can take a look at, most notably, Suceava, Gura Humorului, Rădăuți, Vatra Dornei, Câmpulung Moldovenesc, Siret, and Baia Mare). I'm currently busy with other projects of my own, but I can assure you that in the spare time I try to contribute and improve as many Romanian-related articles as possible, on either the English, French, or German Wikipedia. Cheers! -- Rosenborg BK Fan (talk) 17:46, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

Images protocols quote[edit]

Țepeș Castle

Multiple images can be staggered right and left. However, avoid sandwiching text between two images that face each other; or between an image and infobox, navigation template, or similar. If multiple related images are being placed on the right, consider the {{multiple image}} template (which, however, does not respect logged-in users' selected image sizes).

Wikipedia is not an image repository. A gallery is not a tool to shoehorn images into an article, and a gallery consisting of an indiscriminate collection of images of the article subject should generally either be improved or moved to Wikimedia Commons. Generally, a gallery should not be added so long as there is space for images to be effectively presented adjacent to text.

Images make Wikipedia more informative, accessible, and professional.

In general, when working with images:
DO:
Green check.png Review the image style guide and use policy.
Green check.png Give context with captions and alt text.
Green check.png Try to find at least one image for each article.
Green check.png Look for free images.
Green check.png Clean up images: crop, color-correct, etc.
Green check.png Create and upload your own images.
Green check.png Use the best file format for each image.
Green check.png Use objects for scale where helpful.
DON’T:
Red x.svg Don't upload non-free images.
Red x.svg Don't use images in place of tables or charts.
Red x.svg Don't use images or galleries excessively.
Red x.svg Don't add images that are not relevant.
Red x.svg Don't flip faces, text, or works of art.
Red x.svg Don't set fixed image sizes.
Red x.svg Don't sandwich text between two images.
Red x.svg Don't refer to images by their placement.
