Formal mediation has been requested[edit]

The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Talk:Nigel Farage". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 7 May 2017.

Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

Request for mediation rejected[edit]

The request for formal mediation concerning Talk:Nigel Farage, to which you were listed as a party, has been declined. To read an explanation by the Mediation Committee for the rejection of this request, see the mediation request page, which will be deleted by an administrator after a reasonable time. Please direct questions relating to this request to the Chairman of the Committee, or to the mailing list. For more information on forms of dispute resolution, other than formal mediation, that are available, see Wikipedia:Dispute resolution.

Transfermarkt[edit]

Since most of its content is user-generated, Transfermarkt is not a reliable source. Please do not cite the website in articles, as you did with Dominic Samuel. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:24, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Callum Dolan's nationality[edit]

The page history of Blackburn Rovers F.C. Under-23s and Academy shows you added Callum Dolan with American Samoa listed as his nationality. I am not denying or challenging this, but can you confirm where this was sourced from. I cannot find any reliable record elsewhere online. Thanks. Sixtrap (talk) 20:51, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2018–19 Blackburn Rovers F.C. season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lincoln (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Players will not actually be released until their contracts end on 30 June 2021[edit]

Please do not remove them from squad listings/change their articles until that date. GiantSnowman 20:52, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Which is why I have clarified as much on their player pages, and the club season pages. User:RoverTheBendInSussexUser talk:RoverTheBendInSussex 10:12, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Why have you said that e.g. Brad Lyons and tom White have a) left Blackburn (when they won't until 30 June) and b) left their loan clubs (when their seasons are still ongoing with the playoffs). Why, in short, are you repeatedly adding misleading information to articles about living people?! GiantSnowman 20:30, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
As I have already said to you. I have clarified on their player pages that their terms at the club will end on that date. The contract terms are final as disclosed by the club today. Your conduct and attitude is now bordering on abuse/harassment. Have spent hours adding significant information and all you can do is moan. Lay-off the harassment. I do not wish to communicate with you any further. User:RoverTheBendInSussex User talk:RoverTheBendInSussex 21:35, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly because being a married relation of someone isn't a position appointed. Please tell me you are joking? What an absolutely disgraceful retraction. The edit to the page was vandalism and I was removing it. RoverTheBendInSussex (talk) 16:02, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

September 2022[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Steve Bray. It's not appropriate to expand on a quoted tweet with your own interpretation of it, particularly to make a claim as extreme as Bray wanting all Brexit voters deported. Wikipedia should not quote Twitter attacks directly, regardless, per WP:TWEET. Lord Belbury (talk) 15:12, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What complete and utter nonsense! I didn't offer up personal commentary I literally repeated what he said and has clearly shown as his intent. Are you really saying that what he has said in person in quotable text format cannot be repeated on Wikipedia because it hasn't been published in media/tabloid format? Again, what complete and utter nonsense! The way it is written up on Wikipedia at present is open to intepretation as well. It is clearly worded to favour Bray by denying racism and implying James Cleverly interpreted what he said rather than reflecting what was literally said. Your Wikipedia page states the following: "Assume good faith", "Be polite and avoid personal attacks", "Be welcoming to newcomers" and "Seek dispute resolution if needed". You have failed on three out of four. User:RoverTheBendInSussex (talk) 16:20, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The tweet you linked said
I make no apology for wanting those that have betrayed the United Kingdom and devastated the lives of millions out of my country! END.
You quoted it as
Slightly later the same day Bray clarified on Twitter that he wished for all who had "betrayed the United Kingdom" (Brexit voters, campaigners and politicians) to be "out of my (United Kingdom) country (deported)".
Your interpretative additions in brackets seem to be personal commentary, which is not appropriate for a Wikipedia article. If you were quoting from a different source for the idea that Bray wishes to see 17 million people deported, you should clarify where you're getting that from. --Lord Belbury (talk) 15:52, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
