Disambiguation link notification for January 3[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Once Upon a Time characters, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mother Superior. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Excessive details in articles AGAIN[edit]

For the umpteenth time, would you please stop adding detail bloat to articles, as you did with this edit to Collector (comics)? How many times do we have to have this conversation? Sections on other media appearances of comics characters need to SUMMARIZE those appearances, not given a blow-by-blow of entire episode plots. Do you not understand this, or do you just not care? Nightscream (talk) 15:00, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you know what I'm saying, why do you keep adding such detail overkill? "Nobody bothered to do my version of summarized details"? So what? The fact that no one added material on those appearances of reasonable length gave you a free license to add one that was way too large? How do you figure? You did not do your best. You added a ridiculous level of blow-by-blow detail, yet again, despite my attempts to explain to you that this is not appropriate. Please stop Nightscream (talk) 17:51, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

redundant information in infobox[edit]

Hi. You have recently made several edits by adding captions to images in animal infoboxes. These infoboxes already have a title so please do not simply repeat the name of the animal in the caption. Further details can be added, but it is simply redundant to simply repeat the name.__DrChrissy (talk) 18:13, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ditto above. And you needn't add periods to every caption on Wikipedia. You are generating more clean-up work for other editors than you are contributing content. Eric talk 19:42, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Dan Lorge[edit]

The article Dan Lorge has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No notable roles in anime, just a bunch of supporting "mons" in Digimon.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Big Hero 6 articles[edit]

Please do not add arbitrary subheadings articles, as you did with your reverts to my edits to various Big Hero 6-related articles, such as this one and this one. Subheadings exist to divide sections that have grown too large. You cannot divide a section into only one subsection. Similarly, bullets are for short-item lists, and not entire paragraphs. I've been removing these pointless divisions for years now, and now I see that you've been adding them and re-adding them, using the deceptive edits summary "Making some additions" and "Adding details to media appearance", which do not accurately describe your edits. A subheading is not a "detail" to an appearance. If you have a valid argument for adding these, then please engage in discussion on the topic. Nightscream (talk) 21:21, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I do not abstain from such headings or bullets because I "don't like them". I do so because they should only be used where appropriate, as I described above. If you disagree, then we can start a consensus discussion with other editors. But reverting the edit in which I remove them, using the inaccurate edit summaries that say you're just "adding details", is not the way to go about it. "Detail" refers to text content, and not headings, which are merely aspects of copyediting. Nightscream (talk) 23:48, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming Marvel projects[edit]

I am certainly looking forward the next three Avengers films, including the upcoming two-part Infinity War, as well as related films, like the Captain America: Civil War film that will feature Spidey. I often post updates on those things on my Facebook, so shoot me a friend request if you want. I'm not particularly looking forward to Secret Wars, nor am I really into crossover "events" in general like I was when I was a kid, especially ones that do big continuity wipes. To each his own, I guess. Nightscream (talk) 23:48, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In general, no, I'm not really into crossovers. One exception is when my friends at Midtown Comics invited me to the press conference at which Quesada, Alonso and Brevoort announced "Fear Itself". Since I was hearing about it at the same time the press was, and took photos of the conference, I felt I had a leg up on everyone else so I created the article on that crossover (which needs a trim, mind you), but otherwise, I prefer to follow specific writers and see what they do when they can focus on character. Big, supposedly status quo-changing events typically don't do much for me, since the changes are typically undone anyway.
And yeah, you got the right account. Nightscream (talk) 00:05, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Called"[edit]

Re: Stone Quackers, you've twice changed the statement "A spin-off of Stone Quackers, Gothball, is planned for release" to "A spin-off of Stone Quackers called Gothball is planned for release", both times with no explanation [4][5]. I'm not sure what your issue is with the phrasing, but we don't need to say "called" or "named" or "titled". Obviously the spin-off is "called" or "named" or "titled" something and it is perfectly suitable in encyclopedic English grammar to just use commas. Removal of referenced material[edit]

Please do not remove referenced material without providing a reasonable explanation. "Do you have proof of the information I just removed?" is not a sufficient explanation. Presumably, the "proof" exists in the included citation of the primary source, the episode. I've seen you do this a number of times and I believe I've contacted you about this before. This is disruptive. An example of a legitimate reason to remove the content might be: "I checked the episode credits and Dorn isn't listed." Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:54, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Red Wolf[edit]

Please don't edit-war at Red Wolf. Per WP:BRD when you're reverted, discuss your issues on the talk page. In this case, your content is indecipherable to any non-comics fan, and is more overdetailed plot synopsis than WikiProject Comics puts in Alternate-version sections. --Tenebrae (talk) 03:07, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Rtkat3. I'm afraid, in all honestly, I couldn't follow what you were trying to say in your post on my talk page. I do know that all the stuff about Doom, Wilson Fisk and Sheriff Steve Rogers is more than any non-comics fan needs to know in a section whose sole purpose is to say: "A version of Red Wolf appeared here, and these attributes are the principal salient ones." --Tenebrae (talk) 14:21, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate what you're saying, but according to WP:BURDEN, you need to say why that information belongs there. WikiProject Comics doesn't put plot synopses in Alternate-version sections, and we don't need plot background to identify this version of the character, which is all we're trying to do. --Tenebrae (talk) 14:29, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Herald of Galactus for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Herald of Galactus is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Herald of Galactus until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Cambalachero (talk) 01:59, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Spider-Man related[edit]

Thanks. Yes the alternate character article has characters that are Earth 616 that I merged. I just think that there should be an article that should focus on all Spidey's or maybe create a set-index for Earh 616 and maybe even the new Secret Wars universe Spider-Men. What do you think? Jhenderson 777 20:57, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see spider--UK as a character that's notable yet. If he gets his own comic book or something then it's a maybe if there are reliable sources of him. I say he deserves a section about him though. Jhenderson 777 21:23, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

September 8, 2015[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at List of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies characters. This persistent reintroduction of trivia, unverified material, poor writing, original research, fancruft, indiscriminate lists, original research masked as character description, overlinking of common words, all that is disruptive and it has to stop. Drmies (talk) 20:59, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Rtkat3, I want to make it clear also that I will block you the next time you demonstrate an inability to comprehend basic community editing expectations. Your edits here are problematic because you are indiscriminately adding content that the community isn't interested in. We should not be adding endless lists of non-noteworthy characters, and instead should be focusing on main characters and recurring characters, with real-world context. Minor characters that appear in one episode are not noteworthy. I'm also concerned that this might have been a copy/paste without proper attribution, because I find this information at this YouTube video for instance, which makes me wonder where you got all this detail. Your write-up here about Baby-Faced Finster again demonstrates a lack of comprehension about what we are trying to achieve in a character list. Character lists do not exist for us to write long-winded plot summaries. We should briefly describe the character, and provide real-world context. I don't know how to make this clearer for you. RE: Spider-Man-related 2[edit]

WP:NORUSH: I believe Web Warriors #1 is an upcoming comic book so we have plenty of time to maybe add him. Also Pavitr (the Indian Spider-Man) doesn't really have an article about him either and he's going to appear in that comic too. So he's not the only one. Proposed deletion of Joey Camen[edit]

The article Joey Camen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No sign of meeting WP:NACTOR. Name can be found in databases (the "New York Times" source cited is their reuse of the All Movie Guide database and places that list cast, but the biggest mention I can find is a one-sentence call-out in a Variety review. The film festival award listed is the lowest-level award given at a festival that gives an award to every film they show. No reliable source is included supporting other claims.

Nat Gertler (talk) 13:59, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re: your message on my page - I don't particularly want people to speak agains the deletion. You were notified because you created the page; if you think it shouldn't be deleted, you are free to remove the deletion notice (in which case, barring the addition of more sources, I'm likely to take the page to AfD.) --Nat Gertler (talk) 14:48, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Given your addition of an Article For Deletion tag to the article, you seem to be confusing two different Wikipedia deletion processes: WP:PROD, where an article gets deleted if no one objects (objection is shown by deleting the prod tag) and WP:AFD, where there is a full discussion. You have added an AFD tag to an article for which there is not an AFD discussion underway; I am removing that tag as it is only for articles that have such a deletion discussion going. --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:18, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Should WP:PJTF change its scope to cover all of Rick Riordan's works?[edit]

Hi, Rtkat3, hate to be "that guy" who keeps harping on this, but I'm hoping to get all the Percy Jackson Task-force members to reach a "final" decision about our scope so we can determine how and if to handle Riordan's new Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. In my opinion, if we decide on a new scope which covers that series, then we need to begin work on applicable pages for it, since the first book has now been officially published. Do you think this project should become the "Rick Riordan" task-force? I'd appreciate your comment here. 2ReinreB2 (talk) 15:45, 8 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ai Apaec-related[edit]

I trust this can be a good compromise. The motive is the character is NOT notable enough for Wikipedia IMO. Maybe he should be merged in List of Marvel Comics characters: A though instead? Even still a mention of him still belongs on the incarnation page just like Mac Gargan. Jhenderson 777 20:07, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You can be bold and create a new article on them for the future. But I would recommend a section of info that can be split if the info gets beyond a stub article. Also keep in mind: WP:Notability. The Spider-Gwen character is being talked about a lot on popular culture reporting websites making her indeed notable for such a new character along with her own starring comic books. I am not sure the other characters have gotten that far. Jhenderson 777 21:03, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes but I would recommend you would prove notability by using the sources to back it up. Something I haven't really successfully done yet but want to someday with Spider-Man Noir and Spider-Woman (Gwen Stacy) yet. I don't recommend just plot summary and media appearance info. Spider-Man (Miles Morales)-related[edit]

It doesn't give any specifics. The assembled heroes of both 616 and Ultimate Marvel are talking about the situation they're in (aided by Emma Frost explaining it telepathically), and by the end of the issue, it appears that the war is over. Miles is awoken by his very much alive mother, and his friends are outside his window, asking him to go out with them, acting as if nothing has happened. I have a feeling the specifics may be covered by one of the other books. Nightscream (talk) 03:41, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Its" and "It's"[edit]

Just a helpful tip, to make sure you have your grammar correct:

When you are saying it's that is a contraction for "it is". So if you say "The dog dropped it's bone", what that really means is "The dog dropped it is bone" which makes no sense grammatically.

When you are saying its, that is the possessive sense, which is used to explain that something belongs to something else. So this would be the correct use for "The dog dropped its bone".

And yep, it does make a difference - a big one! Thanks. 73.168.15.161 (talk) 18:01, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, please be aware of this difference. In this example, for instance, you said "he can alter it's reality". That literally means "he can alter it is reality", which makes no sense. The correct form is "he can alter its reality" with no apostrophe. 65.126.152.254 (talk) 22:47, 30 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Am I looking forward to 2016 MCU?[edit]

Rtkat3, let me tell you a little something about me.

I'm 43, and I've been reading comics since I was 12.

I went to art school, where I majored in cartooning, studying under Klaus Janson, Walter Simonson, Joe Orlando, Carmine Infantino, and Sam Viviano, in order to learn to draw comics.

Every year at the New York Comic-Con, I take between 700 and 800 photos of the guests, mostly comics creators, with the intention of uploading them to the Commons in order to illustrate Wikipedia articles that don't have good photos. Last year I took about 1,200, and this past October I took over 1,300. (This is addition to the signings I cover at Midtown Comics, JHU Comics, Barnes & Noble, my alma mater, etc.). I've uploaded about 11,000 of these photos to the Commons.

What do you YOU think?

Of COURSE I'm looking forward to it!! :-)

Happy New Year. :-) Nightscream (talk) 23:51, 31 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
