Free Agent Frenzy[edit]

First and foremost, thank you for your help! You're right on top of all of these signings! Secondly, would you please try to keep the formatting as you edit, (ie. alternating background colours in the table), as well as in the edit summary, just list the signing you are adding, (ie. DAL signs Radulov). Those will both make the inevitable cleanup that comes after the frenzy much, much easier! Cheers, keep it up! –uncleben85 (talk) 16:52, 1 July 2017 (UTC)

Lenzi[edit]

Per WP:CONACHIEVE, there has been consensus on the talk page as other members have come in to say there is no real problem with my suggested edit. What rule am I breaking exactly? Or better yet, why is it better go have Ghosthouse? I can barely find information on this film let alone how its an important film for Lenzi. Why do you insist on including it? I am trying to assume good faith here, but I can not find any reason why statements you do not want to see to discuss on a talk page are being reverted. Help? Request for Help[edit]

Hi. I was wondering if you could help me fix an article. I tried, but cant remember how to reset a page to an earlier version when there have been too many subsequent edits for the undo" button to work.

The page for "Billy Jack" actress Delores Taylor wrongly lists her as having died in 2015. Someone used the information in an obituary for a different Delores Taylor [1] and even changed her date of birth and birthplace to match the one in the wrongly used obituary. It is clear when you read the obituary that it is not the actress and nothing matched up with her old info from her page or her IMDb listing. The Delores Taylor here was married to actor Tom Laughlin. I think the reason they did it was someone was joking or mistaken in the comments section of the Legacy tribute [2] for the other Delores Taylor and wrote she was in the Billy Jack movies. The edits were made in November of this year but there are too many for the "undo" to work. If you agree with my findings, could you please fix her page? I know you are dedicated to pages for film/television and want things to be correct. Thank you. BurienBomber (talk) 05:54, 16 December 2017 (UTC)

Right Up Your Alley[edit]

Was doing some background on Wilbur Plaugher, who died yesterday. Besides starring in several travelling rodeos and winning many professional events, he also did film and tv work. I found a movie that isnt listed in Wiki, but was done by a major studio- Disney. It is called Run, Appaloosa, Run. It was a short running only 47 minutes, but was released by Disney not only in the US, but also in the UK and France as well. Here is the IMDB page if you would like to create an article for the movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0249129/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ov_st_smSunnydoo (talk) 00:18, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

@Sunnydoo: it all really depends on how many sources are out there about it. May be hard to track down as it’s about 52 years old now. Thanks for the tip off, I’ll write something up if anything is found. Rusted AutoParts 00:23, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

Hotel Artemis[edit]

Hi I wanted to talk to you about why I deleted the production section for this page, back in December we changed the wording on the film manaual of style which now says in part says " Try to maintain a production standpoint, referring to public announcements only when these were particularly noteworthy or revealing about the production process. "Focus on information about how plot elements or settings were decided and realized, rather than simply repetitively listing their dates. Add detail about how the actors were found and what creative choices were made during casting, only including the casting date (month and year is normally sufficient) where it is notably relevant to the overall production history." The production section for the film did not, I think meet the criteria and so I removed it. --Deathawk (talk) 22:30, 22 April 2018 (UTC)

Template for better source[edit]

Dear Rusted AutoParts,
Thank you for your good faith edits but they really weren't necessary. It has been widely reported in the media that the film is due to be released in 2019 (see citations).

File:Patrick Melrose Poster.jpeg[edit]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:11, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

Are you sure this is going to work?[edit]

I mean, what if someone takes this to mean Ellison was a regular screenwriter for regular Star Trek, and doesn't bother clicking to learn the realer truth because they already know what Star Trek is? What if? Of course, it's not a huge deal. But you should give it a second thought. Isn't this like piping a famous singer over a less-famous (but more personally important) song for someone who didn't write another one for anyone? Aren't songs just short TV shows without shapes? That's the important question here, but don't give it another thought, just once again reconsider eclipsing "The City on the Edge of Tomorrow" this way. I've never seen it, but CAWylie said it was the best one. Who are we to doubt him? InedibleHulk (talk) 02:54, July 1, 2018 (UTC)

RE: Brian Christopher[edit]

I don't understand why sources good for Deaths in 2018 are not good for his page. If he is alive on his very own page his death should not be reported elsewhere. Consistency. Honestly I think people are being thick headed on his page, but there is no need to hurry up. Family and police will release a statement sooner or later. Let's wait. --Folengo (talk) 18:48, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

No, sources then brought to the talk page were not accepted as relying on Meltzer's tweet. --Folengo (talk) 18:49, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
If you are so sure about your sources go tell on Lawler's talk page and have his page updated. If those sources are good for his page, they may be good for Deaths in 2018. If they are not suitable they won't be suitable even for Deaths in 2018. At the moment I'm not reverting my edits. --Folengo (talk) 18:55, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

2018 in film[edit]

This page is not a Box Office Mojo page! This is a Worldwide page that uses BOM sources, the Top 10 section on this page reflects the highest grossing films that were first released theatrically in 2018 in any territory, and does not follow arbitrary criterias like BOM's Worldwide list (" Movies must be released in the US for the year specified to qualify for this chart."). ⚠

Thanks for uploading File:10's regeneration.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:02, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

His obit doesn't state outright he was 59 though - he is technically in his "59th year", having passed his 58th birthday. Since every single source says he was born in 1960 (and his obituary doesn't give a 1959 birth date), I think we should stick with that. Connormah (talk) 19:35, 30 September 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Roosevelt (film)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Roosevelt (film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your draft article, Draft:Queen of the Air[edit]

Hello, Rusted AutoParts. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Queen of the Air".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. Death notice reference[edit]

Why is the "Bradford Era" death report insufficient? Apparently Community Media Group provides an omnibus website (Braford Era) for 40 publications in seven states. Report includes required information: deceased IDed, occupation, when he died.

Since you determined something was amiss, why not substitute another report? For example, https://www.delcotimes.com/news/local/former-state-senator-ted-erickson-dies-at/article_67aee34c-137a-11e9-b4d6-7bacddaeaad2.html by the Delaware County Daily Times (Pa)

Appreciate understanding your rationale. RaqiwasSushi (talk) 23:43, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

Your reply
Interesting. Hadn't checked edit summary. Thanks for explaining. However I'm left with a problem. The reason for the block linked to "Sources that are usually not reliable", rather than the "Accessibility", section of the "Verifiability" page. Neither addresses universal availability. Is that somewhere else? RaqiwasSushi (talk) 13:49, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

Game of Thrones end[edit]

I don’t know where you got the source for the date (calculating might count as original research, but I don’t know for sure), but I wanted to acknowledge its placement above The Big Bang Theory, as you are savvy enough to anticipate the latter finale being the 23rd or whatever that following Thursday is--Fradio71 (talk) 22:10, 19 January 2019 (UTC)

Driveways[edit]

FYI, The Hollywood Reporter lists Driveways here for the Berlin Film Festival next month, and the festival has a page here saying it will be the film's world premiere. Furthermore, the director and his previous film have received coverage, so I do not find any there-should-definitely-not-be-an-article indications (per WP:REDLINK) to strip the title of a link. I'll restore the red link when the premiere date comes around, but I think you're insisting too much on having it removed. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 15:21, 25 January 2019 (UTC)
