Hello and welcome. I just stumbled upon the article R2-D2, which you blanked after you enlarged the article a lot. I wonder why you did that. Maybe because you realized that the text you added was a copyright violation? As a totally blank page is not good, I reverted it to the last version before you started editing, as that one should be a save version. But in case the blanking was accidentally and your text wasn't copied from a StarWars book, you can access your version with the editing history of the article [1], and continue to work on it. andy 08:54, 17 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've been doing a lot of editing on the Caffeine article. 14 edits in five minutes is quite a lot, and might make it somewhat difficult for you or other Wikipedians to review changes in the article's edit history. Try using the "Preview" button when editing a page, to review your work before publishing your changes. Good luck! :-) Cribcage 01:35, 23 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Sorabji (From German MGG)[edit]

Sorabji, Kaikhosru, * 14. Aug.

Image Tagging Image:R2d2.jpg[edit]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:R2d2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. cholmes75 (chit chat) 22:37, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Abel Decaux[edit]

A tag has been placed on Abel Decaux, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD A7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. SingCal 21:49, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Contemporary music[edit]

Hi Ryguillian, I wonder if you would be interested in joining the new WikiProject Contemporary music that I helped organize recently? Our goal is to help improve Wikipedia’s coverage of the subject. Best, --S.dedalus (talk) 03:15, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
