Speedy deletion nomination of List of Delta Search doodles 2013[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on List of Delta Search doodles 2013 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Blok Glo (talk) 20:41, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Vibe Middle East[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Vibe Middle East requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Bagheera (talk) 18:20, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Changing your username[edit]

Hi there. If you want to change your username, please follow the steps at WP:RENAME. It's really simple, and shouldn't cause you any problems. In the meantime, I've had to tag the page at User:Salah Almhamdi for deletion as it isn't properly formed (it isn't attached to your user account). When you get your name changed, the admin will move your userpage and talkpage for you. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 19:02, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of The Fool of Kairouan[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article The Fool of Kairouan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I cannot find any reference to this film anywhere - although I admit I cannot search Arabic language sources. The Wikipedia article on Mohamed Jamoussi does not refer to this film, and the one (French) source in that article - a retrospective 25 years after his death - makes no mention of a film by this name (in French or transliterated Arabic). This does make me doubt the film's notability. I suggest if you have Arabic language sources, you should add them (they can always be run through a translator, or assistance can be sought for translation should that be required)

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Elen of the Roads (talk) 22:11, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

Continued creation of misleading "userpage"[edit]

I have explained clearly above how to get the account name changed. The only two ways you can legitimately get a userpage with the name that you want is to change the name on this account, or abandon this account and create another one with the name that you want. I have again tagged User:Salah Almhamdi for deletion as it is AGAINST THE RULES to create a userpage for an account that does not exist. If you do it again, I will draw the attention of the administrators to your action. Now please, just follow the advice given the first time and ask for the name on the account to be changed.Elen of the Roads (talk) 16:03, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

As Elen says, please use WP:CHU to change your user name. I've moved your user page back to the correct place (User:Salah almhamdi). Best, - Kingpin13 (talk) 16:11, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Nihonjoe, an admin, has very kindly renamed your account and moved all the pages for you. Hope it's all good now. Elen of the Roads (talk) 16:58, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

I've declined this speedy deletion as Wikipedia is not censored, the article may be short at present but it is sourced, neutral and factual. ϢereSpielChequers 17:10, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
My reason for calling this an "attack page" is that you created a page called Internet censorship in Egypt, and then you cite one example. Clearly one blocked site is not worth such a negative-toned article. — Timneu22 · talk 17:22, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Wael Ghonim.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Wael Ghonim.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Logan Talk Contributions 22:34, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Thank you[edit]

Thanks, for persevering past Wikipedia's deletion process, and creating several important articles. If you're absolutely sure that an article is important enough and has the sources, there are a few ways to avoid having your article quickly deleted. The Wael Ghonim article in particular, and others on Palestinian and Middle-Eastern figures, are well appreciated. Best, - Wikidemon (talk) 02:46, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Yes, agreed, thanks for all your contributions! If you ever have any questions or are having problems with deletion processes, let me know and I'll try to help! (Or go ask at the help desk - they're very good too.) Calliopejen1 (talk) 22:07, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Goalzz[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Goalzz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

File copyright problem with File:Samar Mezghanni.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Samar Mezghanni.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 23:32, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Samar Mezghanni.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Samar Mezghanni.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:48, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Ayna[edit]

Per your request I've put the Ayna article into User:Salah Almhamdi/Ayna. You'll need to provide references indicating the site's notability per WP:WEB and WP:NOTE. Acroterion (talk) 17:39, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

Salah Almhamdi, I have again deleted the Ayna article under the A7 deletion criteria. Acroterion moved it to your userspace so that you could improve it by adding references to indicate notability, but you simply restored it to article space in the same state it was in when last deleted. Please improve the userpace draft prior to moving it to article space. I will be happy to review it and move it for you once it meets WP:WEB. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 18:00, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ayna[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ayna, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

Proposed deletion of Project Khalid[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Project Khalid has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No demonstration of notability per the general notability guideline. I can't find sources (other than the official website) which talk about Project Khalid.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Your contributed article, Media reactions to the death of Nelson Mandela[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Media reactions to the death of Nelson Mandela. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Reactions to the death of Nelson Mandela. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Reactions to the death of Nelson Mandela – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 09:21, 6 December 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Mohamed Haythem Abid[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mohamed Haythem Abid requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

—/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 21:09, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Brian Tracy's signature.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Brian Tracy's signature.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Proposed deletion of Ricardo Karam[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Ricardo Karam has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Disambiguation link notification for March 21[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Inta Omri, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Egyptian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:44, 21 March 2015 (UTC)

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 23:21, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Inta Omri[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Inta Omri, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Kamil Chamoun[edit]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Kamil Chamoun, and it appears to include material copied directly from musique.arabe.over-blog.com/article-kamil-chamoun-helwe-ktir-109327625.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of Kamil Chamoun[edit]

Hello Salah Almhamdi,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Kamil Chamoun for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. — Zepeline talk 08:28, 23 May 2015 (UTC)
