I see that almost all of your editing is done to a large number of sandboxes in your userspace. I also see that most, if not all, of those sandboxes contain material which does not have enough context to indicate what it is about. (For example, a page has a heading "Series overview", but there is nothing to say what it is a series of, and another page begins "The Tour Dates are not confirmed but the Set List is confirmed..." but it does not say what tour it refers to.) Can you please clarify what these sandbox pages are for? The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 15:48, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have edited since I posted that message, so probably you have seen it and decided not to reply to it. Are you using Wikipedia to store content for your own use, or for the use of your band? The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 07:39, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have recently been editing the page User:Sunderland Airport which was unambiguously a hoax. Evidence strongly suggests that you have been using multiple accounts to use Wikipedia to store content for your own use, unrelated to contributing to the encyclopaedia. You have ignored requests for clarification posted to the talk pages of several accounts. Please explain what you are doing, as otherwise you will be blocked from editing without further notice. What is happening is that I have always wanted to create a wikipedia page but there is nothing to do it on so I use my Sandbox and plus User:Sunderland Airport is my friend and dosen't know how to use wikipedia so I thought I would help him edit it... Please don't ever think you can block me from my editing because I love it and I am just getting the swing of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SamUK01 (talkcontribs) 16:01, 16 March 2014‎

I understand what you say, but I'm afraid that just using the Wikipedia servers for making pages in your sandbox to play at editing Wikipedia is not acceptable. If you don't have a new Wikipedia article to write, then you can make small contributions to existing articles, if you like. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing, because you are clearly not here to contribute to the encyclopaedia. You have continued with your sandbox-only editing, despite the messages that I gave you explaining that doing so was unacceptable. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 15:54, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What is wrong with what I have done? Why do you care? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SamUK01 (talkcontribs) 16:04, 10 April 2014‎

You have already been told what is wrong with what you have done. If you can't understand why anyone would care enough about protecting Wikipedia to serve as an administrator and take action to stop people abusing it, then I am doubtful whether I can explain it to you. However, now that your editing of the pages you created for your personal use have gone from your editing record, I see that, although at least 97% of your edits were either edits to those pages or hoax edits, you did also do some non-hoax editing of articles. I have therefore unblocked you, to allow you to continue to contribute to the encyclopaedia. However, please make sure that you don't return to making pages that have nothing to do with contributing to the encyclopaedia. Since your editing since the block has been exactly similar to that which led to the block, you must have been expecting the block to be restored, and so it has. You may like to find a web hosting site where you can continue with the same kind of thing. Alternatively, you can download the MediaWiki software, and use it to create your own wiki.
