Saint[edit]

Hi there! I see you're working on the Saint (manhua) article -- thank you! I noticed the image you uploaded is very large, and you are unsure of its licensing. Don't worry -- no one's going to ban you!! :) For things like images from comics, you can assume it's copyrighted, and this means you have to add something called a fair use rationale for non-free materials. I can help you do this! It's also important that the image be quite small, generally no bigger than 250px (the size that will be used in the article), to qualify for fair use. You've already provided the link where you got the image, and I recognize Burapat as a Thai publisher, so we're in good shape. Take a look at the [page] in a few minutes, and take note of the changes I've made. And if you ever have questions about uploading images, or what kind of information you need to include with them, don't hesitate to drop into Wikiproject Comics World Comics work group and ask. :) --hamu♥hamu (TALK) 02:19, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I'm back, and I've made some changes on the image page. For more information on fair use, visit the fair use rationale policy and fair use information page. An article is generally allowed only one non-free article, and only a small one. Their purpose is to help readers identify the subject matter, not for page decoration. Because these images are under copyright, we have to be very judicious in how and how much we use them. Therefore, I've removed the other, large image you added in. Please feel free to let me know if you have any more questions. :) --hamu♥hamu (TALK) 02:33, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:XuanzangGroup.jpg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading Image:XuanzangGroup.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:55, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:YingXiongWuLei.jpg}[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:YingXiongWuLei.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Fair use rationale for File:MoSon-Cover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:MoSon-Cover.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 14:51, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Would You Like to Join WikiProject Koei Warriors Games?[edit]

Would you like to join the Koei Warriors Games WikiProject? It is everything Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and Warriors Orochi! To participate, add your name to the list of participants and apply {{User WPKoeiWarriors}} to your user page.

If you are not sure what a WikiProject is, it is a club of Wikipedians interested in the WikiProject's subject and helping to improve articles of or related to that subject. I saw you are a fan of the Musou series, so I figured I'd ask if you wanted to participate in Wikipedia:Wikiproject/Koei Warriors Games. You do not have to, and neither are you obligated; I am just asking. Please respond. -BlueCaper (talk) 19:00, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

The article Xiang Ji (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

a disambiguation page for a single article is not appropriate

Copyright problems[edit]

Hi. With respect to the article that you imported at Aya-Gozen on 22 March, while much of the content at Wikia is licensed compatibly, including the page you copied, you must comply with the terms of the license to avoid copyright problems. Copying content over without giving proper credit is a copyright violation. When you import content under free license, you should indicate that you are doing so in the edit summary and should also note the duplication on the article's face with a attribution template or a similar hand-written note that fully identifies the origin. In addition to avoiding copyright problems, this will also prevent your running afoul of plagiarism guidelines. I have repaired this article with the proper template (Template:CCBYSASource), but if you are aware of other content you have copied into Wikipedia, even if it was a long time ago, please be sure that it is freely licensed or public domain and fully attributed. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:29, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

License tagging for File:SanguozhiLast LeeChiching.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:SanguozhiLast LeeChiching.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:06, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

Licinius II[edit]

I do not think the move from Licinius II to Licinius (Caesar) is useful. Mainly because 'Licinius II', 'Licinian the Younger' and 'Licinianus' are all used in the relevant literature far more often than any construct involving the two words 'Licinius' and 'caesar'. Wikipedia has to reflect usage in scholarship, also 'Licinius II' is embedded in many Wikipedia articles. Please consider using the talk page of articles to argue your case before making radical edits. Urselius (talk) 20:45, 28 September 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically User:Sanada Yuki-kun/Octavia the Younger (edition 710046517), may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:06, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation pages[edit]

Hello, Sanada Yuki-kun. When you moved Phillipus to a new title and then redirected the old title to a disambiguation page, you may not have been aware of WP:FIXDABLINKS, which says:

When creating disambiguation pages, fix all resulting mis-directed links.
Before moving an article to a qualified name (in order to create a disambiguation page at the base name, to move an existing disambiguation page to that name, or to redirect that name to a disambiguation page), click on What links here to find all of the incoming links. Repair all of those incoming links to use the new article name.

It would be a great help if you would check the other Wikipedia articles that contain links to "Phillipus" and fix them to take readers to the correct article. Thanks. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 11:02, 6 October 2017 (UTC)
