Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your edits to articles, such as the edit you made to Kristy Jo Volchko. This is a common mistake to make and has probably already been corrected. Please do not sign your edits to article content, as the article's edit history serves the function of attributing contributions, so you only need to use your signature to make discussions more readable, such as on article talk pages or project pages such as the Village Pump. Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Notability
[edit]Hi, Scorpcorp. I just wanted to explain to you why I proposed this article for deletion. Wikipedia has an inclusion standard which we call notability. There is a general standard, (WP:GNG), and specific standards that cover authors (WP:AUTHOR), and living people (WP:BLP). Unfortunately, considering the references you have in the article and the information I was able to find online, the subject of your article meets none of them. Authors have to be published by traditional publishing houses, not houses where you pay to have your book published like Authorhouse Publishing. Also, at least one of their books has to have been reviewed in a major publication, have won an award, or been listed on a major best seller list, like the New York Times or USA Today. Further as a living person, you have to have at least two independent (i.e., not associated with the subject in any way) reliable (WP:RS) sources talking about your subject in some meaningful way (i.e., not just quoting her or mentioning her in passing; but talking about her and her accomplishments for a major part of the article). In short, Ms. Volchko does not meet notability standards at this time. Nothing says that she won't in the future, but not yet. Gtwfan52 (talk) 22:36, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
