A tag has been placed on Mundair Sharif Syedan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Vipin Hari || talk 13:03, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Mundair Sharif Syedan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. March 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Mundair Sharif Syedan has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://mundairhouse.wordpress.com/2010/01/19/brief-introduction-of-darbar-e-aliya-mundair-sharif-syedan/ (matching the regex rule \bwordpress\.com).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 13:14, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but in this recent edit you removed a speedy deletion tag from Mundair Sharif Syedan, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Vipin Hari || talk 13:16, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Mundair Sharif Syedan. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. GregJackP (talk) 15:15, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is the final warning you are receiving regarding your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did with Mundair Sharif Syedan, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Peppermint Chills 15:42, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How to add the reference of an external page owned by me?[edit]

I am a new editor on Wikipedia. I am having a problem in adding a reference of a page written by me. Although after deleting the reference, the tag of copyright violation is there. Can anyone guide me how to add my page from external website? Secondly, how to remove the tag legally when not adding the reference? Unsigned comment by User:Shahrukh syed

It seems you has the bad luck to run info a few issues at the same time, so let me try to explain them all. Wikipedia article's may not be direct copies of external websites, unless the content on those sites is explicitly licensed under a free license compatible with Wikipedia - this is due to copyright issues. Because your page was a direct copy of another website it was being added as such. Second, the link you tried to add is a blog, and therefor does not comply to The reliable source guideline. Wikipedia bots have been made to automatically undo the addition for such a source due to the amount of people adding blog sites. Last: You should not remove the CSD template from a page you created yourself. An admin will check the article and determine if the tag is (still) valid. If it is not valid he or she will remove the tag for you.
I hope this helps, and with kind regards, Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 16:38, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How to add pictures[edit]

I want to add a few pictures in my article from my computer. How can I upload the pictures from my computer to the Wiki Article? Can any one help me? Shahrukh syed (talk) 17:53, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The easy way to get help is to add a {{helpme}} tag on this page, with your question. It looks like what I have done below, by cutting and pasting your question below a helpme tag. Hope this helps (I don't know the answer to your question or I would answer it myself). GregJackP (talk) 02:32, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} I want to add a few pictures in my article from my computer. How can I upload the pictures from my computer to the Wiki Article? Can any one help me? Shahrukh syed (talk)

You can only add uncopyrighted pictures. It's best if you took them yourself. If so, go to Wikimedia Commons and upload it there. To insert the image, see WP:PIC.  fetchcomms 02:37, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It looks as if you have tried to solve the problem of a mistake in the title of this article by creating a copy of it. That's not the way to do it in Wikipedia, as it loses the history of how the article was written, in this case since June 2010 (though I see you've been the main contributor). The way to change the title is to Move it to the new title. In this case, as the "new" title is now occupied by the article you started yesterday, we need to ask for an admin to delete that version so that the old one can be moved to that title. I hope this all makes sense to you, and that I have understood the situation correctly. PamD 18:23, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your guidance. Actually, I first created a page, including the titles. Wikipedia made another page (without titles) and redirected to it. As the person to create the new page would have not been was not aware of the Muslims names, s/he would have not noticed this error or this would have been a typing error. However, we also didn't noticed it for long. When I noticed it, I tried to create a new page and redirect it.
Thank you for placing a move request.

File source problem with File:Sarkar-e-Aali.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Sarkar-e-Aali.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 06:14, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tone issues at Ahmad Hussain Gilani [edit]

Greetings, I wasn't trying to be difficult at Ahmad Hussain Gilani , it's just the article had major "tone" issue. I note you agree with your comment at Talk:Ahmad Hussain Gilani; the issue is I simply can't find any resources about him online. This is not at all to say that he is not important to many people, but simply means that there is a dearth of formally publishes information in English about him online.

You have presented a study posted at Scribd; I'll have to look at it and see what we can use. The issue being that if we don't have access to the materials he used, it would be a WP:Tertiary source, and place us in the difficult position of having to assume that everything he wrote was properly sourced, even though we have no way of verifying it. Given that WP:Verifiability is a core issues on Wikipedia, you can see how this is a matter of concern.

Please do not despair, I and others are happy to work with you to solve the issue, it just might take some time and looking. Feel free to write me at any time by hitting the "Talk" button next to my name. And I do recommend that you read the policies I linked in blue in this message, to continue to increase your understanding of Wikipedia policies.

Glad to have you here, sorry you've had some painful issues with deletions and automated messages, but starting out often is difficult. MatthewVanitas (talk) 20:39, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Sarkar-e-Aali.jpg[edit]

The article Muhammad Afzaal Ahmad Hussain Gilani has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. -- Patchy1 REF THIS BLP 06:06, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, I would like to highlight here that it is not a biography of a living person. The page is about a person who passed away in 1998 (15 years ago.
The second thing is that this page does not have any information about the personality other than name, places of birth and death, dates of birth and death, and a book that includes about this personality. The reason is that every work on this personality has ever been in Urdu. There is nothing about him in English. Nowadays, I am busy with my finals that will end on 25th of this month. After that, I will try to re-write this page. I hope that this much time would not granted. Shahrukh syed (talk) 17:39, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
