January 2018[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to El Dorado (Shakira album) has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 00:56, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Hello, Shakiraeldorado, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Love? have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. You added that "Everybody's Girl" was released as a single in Europe but there was no source provided for this. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  → Lil-℧niquԐ 1 - { Talk } - 11:40, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have redirected this article, because you have filled it with an entirely unsourced track listing, unverified cover art, an unsourced release date, other unsourced rumours about what will be included on the album and what won't, as well as a bunch of singles that Lopez has released in the past two years, but not much specifically confirmed for Por Primera Vez. Please do not recreate the article until you have solid claims about the album's release date, track listing and singles. Until such a time, it will be redirected. Thank you. Ss112 04:19, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I asked you above to not recreate the article until you have sources for the release date and track listing. None of the sources you added (three, one of which was a link to DJ Khaled's Instagram, the other two about "Ni Tu Ni Yo") were about the album. Stop restoring speculation or you will be reported; Wikipedia is not the place to speculate about what you think will be on Jennifer Lopez's new album and make an article out of it. Disambiguation link notification for April 28[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited F.A.M.E. (Maluma album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Amazon (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:16, 28 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:ArianaGrandeSweetener.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Hold Tight (Madonna song). This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —IB [ Poke ] 02:23, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have really appeared to be editing anonymously. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in both your account and IP address being blocked from editing. Additionally, making these edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity it. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:15, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Sweetener Cover.jpeg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Sweetener Cover.jpeg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Your comments are considered a personal attack and not acceptable here at Wikipedia. Also, properly sign your posts when posting on a talk page. What's annoying is an editor continuing to be disruptive in their editing and ignoring the warnings left on their talk page. livelikemusic talk! 12:24, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:NALBUM for requirements that need to be fulfilled before a song or album can have its own article. Basically, multiple independent, in-depth reviews, or major charting. Neither is present here. If you keep reinstating, the article will be formally put up for deletion. Cheers --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 07:57, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Thanks for uploading File:Good Form Cover.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Walk Me Home (Pink song) into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Ss112 02:23, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As a general rule, we don't add albums to artists' discography sections until we have a title and a release date. In the case of your addition to Lady Gaga, not only is there no release date, but you also didn't provide a source for the title. —C.Fred (talk) 03:04, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

A tag has been placed on File:James Charles Met Gala.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Disambiguation link notification for August 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Shakira in Concert: El Dorado World Tour, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Medium and Maluma. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

TattleTales moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, TattleTales, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent communication, notability and copyright issues, as evident when having a look at the deleted contributions, the contributions to the User Talk namespace, and the history/content of this page.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:25, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can I Get unblocked now that someone edited the upcoming third studio album section? Because I was right and it wasn’t disruptive editing. Shakiraeldorado (talk) 17:14, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Viva Kids Vol. 2[edit]

Hello, Shakiraeldorado. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Viva Kids Vol. 2".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 17:51, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I strongly feel I was blocked for an invalid reason. Anything I put on Wikipedia was valid and I wouldn’t of put it if it was vandalism. At least not on purpose. I always keep strong contributions to articles and I feel I should be unblocked. Yes I may have you strong language and get my emotions get in the way, but I was offended at the fact that the information I was uploading was getting deleted when they had valid sources. Shakiraeldorado (talk) 06:23, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

There are many issues here that you have not covered in this request, such as copyright issues. If your emotions prevent you from engaging with other contributors effectively, you will have to demonstrate that you have increased your ability to not let your emotions get in the way of your editing before being unblocked. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:47, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I always make it clear that the non-free copyrighted images I upload on wikipedia are non-free and copyrighted, and always include a source to the photo. I have made many successful contributions to uploading cover art to songs on wikipedia and always included a valid link to further prove the trueness of a songs cover art. I can be more careful and give more insite the next time I upload a cover art. But Uploading on wikipedia is a passion of mine and I never vandalize an article the way some people have gotten away with on this site. If you want to keep me blocked then so be it, I am very cautious with what I upload and dont vandalize. Thank you for reading.

Decline reason:

As there has been no response to my questions in two weeks, I am procedurally declining this request. If you wish to make another request, please answer the questions beforehand in order to demonstrate that you understand our copyright policy. It's been a while; I'm not opposed to an unblock if any administrator finds good conditions or trust to do so. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 10:47, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not convinced this user fully understands the relevant policy. Therefore, Shakiraeldorado, please answer the following:
  1. What Wikipedia policy allows the use of copyight material (e.g. images of album covers), in certain circumstances? Please provide a link.
  2. Where can these images be used?
  3. What size images can be used?
  4. What else is required before a copyright image can be used?
Don't copy-and-paste the answers (since that would itself be a copyright violation), but answer in your own words. O Still Small Voice of Clam 17:36, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
