Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. kelly kettle - protected[edit]

Because the kelly kettle and volcano kettle are brand names, they do not merit their own page. I do not support this. The item is made by several manufacturers and a brand-name page is thought of as not more than an advert and not appropriate for wikipedia. I think it would be better to have kelly kettle redirected to the storm kettle page, which is how it was. If you really really think kelly kettle deserves a page, you could create a "kelly kettle company" article, but it also may be nominated for speedy deletion. I had originally combined a seperate article on the "thermette" in storm kettle because it is a similar device.

In some countries, some brand names have become generized, e.g., aspirin, thermos, xerox, whilst in others they are still brand names. Even so, I suspect that kelly kettle and ghillie kettle are being used this way even if the brand name is trademarked. --Fremte (talk) 18:59, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
