Your contributed article, Long Beach State 49er volleyball[edit]

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Long Beach State 49er volleyball. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Long Beach State 49er Volleyball. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Long Beach State 49er Volleyball - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. JamesBWatson (talk) 01:15, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to comment[edit]

I invite to comment at Talk:Long Beach State 49er Volleyball about the article title. I just wanted to know if this article will just be for the men's team or if you were going to add content on the women's team as well. Thanks, Alanraywiki (talk) 17:12, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Wahine Volleyball. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Please do not continue reverting the edit placing a Wikilink to Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball. Your edit is considered a copy-paste move and innapproprate for Wikipedia. In addition the current article follows the proper naming conventions for college sports teams. Bhockey10 (talk) 01:00, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Washington Huskies ('Bow Down' Yrs) VB requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited BCS-Washington Huskies volleyball team, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages BCS and Power 5. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

@Bradv: Yeah, it does make sense that Jeff Hall may not be the head coach for very much longer.;-) The beach volleyball team was expected to be doing better this 2016.

One of the links goes directly to the UH Beach Team's site.

As I told 'WorldBruce', The Honolulu Star-Advertiser, DiG Magazine, U.S.A. Volleyball, American Volleyball Coaches Association and ESPN (in the future) will be utilized.

Thnx! ShelbyLH (talk) 02:26, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Keep working on it - if you can reference all those sources we should have enough to go live. Bradv 02:28, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Corkythehornyfan gave notifications mainly August 13[edit]

He has generally little knowledge about volleyball. "Notables" in Hawaii Raibow Wahine volleyball--collectively being truth--chronicles the squad's evolution from 1974-present. The players who'd worked so hard to make it in Hawai'i, nationally and internationally have been dismissed, left off of their specific Wiki-honors page, because of power control issues.

Yes, I'm a horny man... 24/7. Sorry you feel this way. if you think they're notable, create an article for them. If they get deleted, then they are not notable. Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 08:50, 14 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
