File copyright problem with File:AmericanRidealbumcover.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:AmericanRidealbumcover.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. [midnight comet] [talk] 11:33, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Luke Bryan Doin My Thing.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on File:Luke Bryan Doin My Thing.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ww2censor (talk) 15:59, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Doin My Thing.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Doin My Thing.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 16:00, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

How Far Do You Wanna Go?[edit]

The article is of sufficient length for a standalone article; three sources, several paragraphs of info. It doesn't matter that it only got to #36; the song has proven notability through the multiple sources in the article. Please quit plowing through the article and redirecting blindly — you know, there's this thing called discussion that I'm sure would be of help. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 17:18, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

I believe that this song is deserving of an article, but that "The World Is Ours Tonight" is definitely a perma-stub. Their relatively close chart peak doesn't mean that they share the notability to either stay or go. CloversMallRat (talk) 20:04, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

  • I did look for sources and found none whatsoever. Just Discogs, fan-submitted lyrics sites, etc. That's not reliable. Stub doesn't mean "free pass no matter how few sources exist." I think you need to read the notability guideline. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 19:32, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Best of Bliss Team[edit]

Hello :), I wanted to ask you if you have any information and/or sources of this album that can be added to this article to prove notability and expand it to beyond a stub. Unfortunately the article must be deleted if this info can't be provided, I'm trying to give you a chance to keep it by having voted 'keep' on it's AfD page, please respond on my talk page. Thanks =] Nowyouseemetalk2me 19:02, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Sorry dude... I know it sucks to have a page you created deleted. Nowyouseemetalk2me 10:44, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Reply[edit]

Hey, no hard feelings. Low-charters can generally stay if they're longer than a stub (I would say two paragraphs, counting the intro, is longer than "stub"). But if you think it should be redirected, it's generally best to invoke some sort of discussion first. "How Far Do You Wanna Go?" has two third-party reviews and a couple other sources, ditto "The World Is Ours Tonight." So basically, if it's more than a couple sentences long, it probably shouldn't be redirected without at least an "I think this should be redirected" on the talk page first. If no one replies to the discussion after a week or so, it'd probably be best NOT to redirect.

As I already said about Best of Bliss Team, several editors have tried looking for sources and found nothing at all — regardless of the fact that it's a stub, it doesn't prove notability because there are no sources to be found, so it should be deleted. Nobody's ever reviewed the album; the act's discography doesn't include it; and it doesn't even seem to be on Allmusic.

As for your other behavior, I didn't realize your "vandalism" was the result of confusion over someone else's edit, and maybe I was a little nitpicky about you getting a little angry in edit summaries. I do that myself. The TV.com thing was an easy enough mistake as well; the site doesn't really make itself too clear that it's user submitted.

I guess I just got a little frustrated since I've had to steer you in the right direction so many times in the past, and often had to warn you multiple times about certain mistakes (such as not categorizing articles, filling in the no-longer-useful "reviews" field in the album infobox, etc.) before you finally corrected yourself. You're acknowledging your mistakes and making an effort to correct them, and I applaud you for that. License tagging for File:Luke-Bryan-2011-300-01.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Luke-Bryan-2011-300-01.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:06, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated[edit]

To put it as a hiatus to me seems to be a false pretense and just doesn't seem right to say I've always been told a hiatus means a break between seasons. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been told that so shouldn't we just leave it at TBA instead of a hiatus so people don't get confused?
