Yeah, of course I remember you. And good work keeping the Zinta article at FA level. Personally, all I've been doing is basically working on the Christian and religious content, which is still a large amount of content of course. Not particularly fond of the local weather lately, but nothing else particularly noticable. Luckily, the seizures haven't recurred at all, although I have noticed that I do at times lose my temper a bit faster lately, which I sincerely regret on several fronts. I guess things are pretty much as good in general as an old geezer like me can expect. Any particular reason that I occurred to you? If there is anything I could help with, believe me, it would probably be a welcome break from the list of NRMs and other things I've been working on lately. John Carter (talk) 14:08, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

At this point, having myself reverted the two articles, it might be problematic for me to protect them myself. Having said that, the IP would have to break 3RR to change them back, and I could easily revert him, and then have the page protected by someone else, should the behavior continue. John Carter (talk) 15:09, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
In a case like that, I would follow the phrasing given in the award presentation itself. If they say "Name of writer", for "Name of film", then I'd put the writer before the film, and reverse it if they say the name of the film first. But I don't think copying their own phrasing, if it is consistent, could get any sort of objection from anyone. John Carter (talk) 15:28, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
That sounds good to me. John Carter (talk) 15:37, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

No te preoccupe amigo. I don't use it anymore, I use User:Himalayan Explorer/Film poster. Himalayan 13:15, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

It was because the bot didn't recnognize it. I'd use it and fill in the template but all the bot would read is a template it wouldn't recognise the rationale and source. So I had to do it differently to avoid getting my images marked by the bot and spamming me.. Himalayan 13:19, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Nice one!! Himalayan 14:41, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Nope I believe it needs to have 3 kilobytes of prose, minimum.16:44, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Dunno, I thought I had split the two people with that name, turns out there is three of them LOL. Himalayan 20:40, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

I created two different Asit Sen articles... maybe the actor directed a andful of films too, I dunno.. Himalayan 20:43, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Good Work - Keep it up[edit]

Hi bro. I found out your great creations & work, & highly appreciate all of them , Good Work.(  Abu Torsam  16:22, 25 September 2009 (UTC)).

I'll help you expand it later and we can have a joint DYK. Give me 45 minutes or so. Himalayan 13:34, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

I've co-nominated it, but credited you before me. Keep up the good work. Himalayan 16:20, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

I hadn't seen those, no, as soon as I logged in I start on the Dutch municipalities. The film articles look great, very well done Shahid! How come you've suddenly started writing new articles again? Himalayan 16:25, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Check out how many veteran actors here. Himalayan 16:41, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

LOL can you ever a remember a moment when I had nothing to do? I'll be glad to help you and collaborate over DYKs though when I can. Himalayan 17:00, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

I noticed your revert on Template:Filmr. Our edits (Rich Farmbrough and I) were made because I saw a deprecation template on Template:Filmrationale, saying that {{Filmr}} had been deprecated. I now see that the same user, Brandon, also tagged {{Filmr}} but you reverted him there. He also tagged Template:Boilerplate music cover fur at the same time, and was not reverted there. Have you been in touch with this editor? Was there any basis for tagging these templates as deprecated? I have seen no hint of discussion at any of these templates' talkpages. Which is strange, because Brandon is an active admin. Debresser (talk) 01:38, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

See his reaction to what I wrote him on his talkpage. My reply is there as well. Let's try to work someting out, after this bold initiative. Debresser (talk) 03:16, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply on my talkpage. Since you don't mind, I'll continue with the deprecation of {{Filmr}} and {{Boilerplate music cover fur}}. I am not sure about {{Filmrationale}} though, for reasons I mentioned on Brandon's talkpage. Debresser (talk) 10:28, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Kambakkht Ishq - boxofficemojo[edit]

As far as I see, domestic on boxofficemojo means the United States and in the foreign box office revenues page for Kambakkht Ishq ( India is not listed whereas for other movies like Delhi-6, Ghajini, etc India and the corresponding revenues are clearly mentioned in the foreign box office revenues page. Therefore, saying worldwide is highly misleading in Kambakkht Ishq's case. Amol1186 (talk) 18:03, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Wow, I see what you mean about Rekha. There's definately something special about her. I think I have a crush on her.... UI've just started watching this. Himalayan 12:27, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Only a clip. Himalayan 13:16, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Sexy Puerto Rican model. Himalayan 13:21, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Remember I said about one of the sexiest British women Laila Rouass? She is appearing in a film with Om Puri. Hey have you seen Ben Kingsley's Brazilian wife? My god. I wonder what it is with old rich British men these Brazilian women like. Mmm.. Mick Jagger's Brazilian affair too... Himalayan 13:59, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Yeah Bollywood directors tend to get neglected on here.. Himalayan 15:18, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Whereas Bipasha is "sexy" I think the word I would use to describe Priyanka Chopra is "cute". She's really beautiful in a "cute" sort of way don't you think? Mmm sexy as well but you know what I mean. She looks more sweet and innocent than Bipasha.. Himalayan 16:39, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Still watching Krrish at the moment, it is fun but very bewildered as to how it managed to get a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes when LOR only got 92%!! Himalayan 16:50, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

I've just finished watching krrish. I really enjoyed it. LOL I don't see any resemblance between krishna and rohit do you? LOL. Dr. Arya looks like an Indian George Bush. Something about having eyes too close together, never trust a man with rodent eyes LOL. Priya's friend Honey looks like a tart I saw on a street corner in Bangkok LOL. Himalayan 14:01, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Yeah I've been busy! Yeah I saw an interview with Aishwarya Rai on David Letterman and he was so arrogant towards her and ignorant towards the langagues she speaks and was pretty much mocking Bollywood films for always being musicals. Not all Americans are like Letterman (thank god) but some of the people in the media from the states certainly do give an impression that they don't care about other cultures... There are many many people in the UK too who are this way so we shouldn't really generalise but also remember there is a big Asian/Indian community in the UK, especially in the main cities so that probably adds to its success.. Himalayan 15:28, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Yeah she did, in fact she embarrassed Letterman and exposed his ignorance, not herself.. LOL now why wasn't Koena Mitra in fashion? Himalayan 15:41, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Can you give me the url link to fashion on youtube? Himalayan 15:57, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

I'm half way through but I really hate the fashion industry. Bunch of self-obsessed, selfish, shallow minded people if you ask me. People like Victoria Beckam and those sort of folk from Ugly Betty really bug me, especially the blokes in fashion with their hair tonged spikes and camp shirts . Himalayan 19:59, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Finished! I enjoyed the film, not very original story though although it is usually about an actor or rock star in that scenario. Ambitious, arrogant wannabee goes places becomes a huge star, can't deal with fame, gets too big for their own boots, goes out of control in drink and drugs, becomes a psycho for a while, goes into rehab, tries to make a fresh start. I didn't expect the overdose though, (I had expected her to overdose or commit suicide much earlier in the film actually) when she came back I expected them to both maeke it back up to the top again and learned from their mistakes. I wonder why when watchign the film I thought I wonder how surreal it would be to Kate Moss! I bet she has experienced practically everything that happened. I love Priyanka, those brown eyes look so sweet and innocent, beautiful girl. LOL was it me or did the "super daddy" of the fashion industry look like Roger Federer with a short haircut and glasses? Did you notice the chemistry between him and Priyanka, safe to say he has majorly got the hots for her.

Can you link me another good full Bollywood film on youtube with subtitles? Himalayan 22:08, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Wow thanks that'll keep me busy. Are you sure YouTube has the full films and subtitles for all of these? LOL why does Jab We Met sound dirty to me. When I glance at it I think of a wet fantasy LOL I always read it as Jab Me Wet, sounds like a blue movie..

Oh I do like non realistic films, I like Bond don't I! They are fun although if they are too cheesy I might roll my eyes... Fashion luckily wasn't too bad in this respect, I enjoyed it. I thought she put in a good performance, did you notice though how quickly she realised her life was in ruin, . She slept with one guy only, I gahter than subject is taboo in Indian cinema! Unlike Kate Moss...

Himalayan 11:46, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

I'll start with Dil Se. Might not watching it all though today but over the weekend. Himalayan 11:53, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

I like a mixture of films so I also enjoy dark serious films! I'll start watching later this afternoon/early evening, is this the film with File:JiyaJale.jpgZinta and SRK lying in a boat, remember that picture? Yeah, I remembered! Himalayan 12:08, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Darn I'm jealous of Gerard Butler has dated both Jennifer Anniston and Priyanka or is very good friend with her. Personally I think Priyanka is better looking than Aishwarya, I think Priyanka, Bipasha and Mallika are the fittest Indian actresses although it seems most Indian actress are beautiful!. Heres an extract from a newspaper about Priyanka, "Virgin tycoon Sir Richard Branson, 58, fell to his knees and told her: "You're the only woman worthy of being called a goddess. You're the most beautiful woman in the world." Wow coming from him who must have seen thousands of beautiful women at parties and events all over the world, that is quite a compliment.. Himalayan 12:30, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Ooooo, I do like Malaika Arora Khan. Himalayan 18:07, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Speaking of another Mallika [1]. I must admit it does seme to me that a lot of the actresses in Bollywood come across as very powerful ambitious women in interviews. I don't know if it because she has so pretty that they feel they have something to prove on the intelligence front but they seem to have a bit of an attitude. I thought the same of Shilpa Shetty. Shetty, Rai, Zinta, Kareena Kapoor, Sherawat, Chopra etc all come across as intelligent but very ballsy with what they say, it could be misinterpreted by some people as arrogance but I think to get where they are in Bollywood they not only have to have Grade A looks but have to have that sort of strong will to succeed and confidence. Himalayan 22:02, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi. When was Tabu born? Most sites say 1970. French wiki says 1972, Encyclopedia Britannica says 1971 and you say 1973!!! I would go with 1971 unless you heard her say herself she was born in 1973? Himalayan 16:47, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

LOL!! Hey I thought you had read it all!!! Yes I would go with 1971 although I'm puzzled as to why many sites say 1970... Himalayan 09:50, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Have you got the album Stranger in This Town? One of my favourites. Check out the opening track which in my view has a perfect atmosphere for the opening of a classic album [2] and [3] and [4]. I think this album knocks the socks off any album of Bon Jovi's, I think he is way more talented than Jon Bon Jovi... Himalayan 21:46, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Did you disagree with what I said about Bollywood actresses being strong women and coming across as very confident? Himalayan 13:24, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Yeah I learned that Kareena was like that, snotty nosed bitchiness isn't it. Just jealous because Priyanka and Biphasha are aesthetically at that top, so she is just trying to bring them down. Himalayan 21:44, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Everything OK? You haven't spoken to me in ten days! I still haven't got around to see those films, but I will soon enough! Himalayan 22:28, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Spending more time with my music nowadays so less time for being on here! I'll probably start watching the film either tonight or tomorrow. Himalayan 12:35, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Check out this at 0.43. It's Shania Twain!! Himalayan 13:09, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I heard Mallika was actually 20 years older and is really now 48 years old. Himalayan 17:30, 3 November 2009 (UTC) I've started working on the Clint Eastwood article. Check out the diff already from October 29!! I am just getting started too!! It will probably be nearer 200 kb when I'm done with it. It will need condensing and copy editing later but I don't really care about grading, I just think it should be a detailed informative article like this rather than a short snappy one. Eastwood deserves to have a long article which shows people have bothered to do the research about him. Himalayan 21:52, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Yep, if you see what was there before it was pretty pathetic and I've only reached 1964, which is pretty much the start of his successful film career!!. I have some very interesting things to write about Eastwood in the 1970s in particular... John Wayne's article is the same, I'll have to get a book and sort out Wayne's article too. The Eastwood article will need copyediting and checking for grammar but I am just concentrating on adding flesh to it at the moment rather than quality. We really should have proper articles about these legends rather than the few paragraphs we had on two massive film careers... Himalayan 22:49, 3 November 2009 (UTC) I'm sure you can deal with him. Weren't you born in Dhaka? Hehe, Tel Aviv rather? Himalayan 20:58, 5 November 2009 (UTC) Yeah, so are people like Stephen Fry, the celebs seem mad about Twitter. Himalayan 22:46, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi, Ordinary guy from Mumbai who watches Hindi movies there are some additions to Genelia's article. Please remove if they are unsourced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 19:16, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Katrina Kaif[edit]

Some person keeps editing Katrina's father origin from "Kashmiri" to "Indian." We have Katrina saying he is Kashmiri (I added a citation from an interview), but is there a source saying he is from Kashmir, India specifically? That way we can have it as "Kashmiri Indian" to appease everyone and get it right. AyanP (talk) 05:13, 2 November 2009 (UTC)Ayan

Hey there, our favorite sock is back big time: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mrpontiac1. If you could keep a close eye on his behavior and report him as soon as you spot new cases it would be very helpful. Nirvana888 (talk) 03:55, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi! How are you? Yes I thought that and so did Mspraveen and now you too. I did ask Philcha to look at it and surprisingly though he didn't think it was that bad. I believe it has improved since I originally left my comment but I still think it is not GA standard yet. The prose is quite sloppy... Himalayan 16:29, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Could have happened to Chopra in that film eh? Himalayan 19:30, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

I know, beautiful, tall girl with the rest of her life ahead of her... (Totally not my type though, way too miserable and sadistic, I don't generally find Korean women very attractive admittedly evne though I like many Asian women) One can only imagine how much pressure they face. Modelling would seem like one of the easiest professions known to man but they are definately under a lot of pressure and stress. Over their figures especially, its disgusting how Ralph Lauren said she was too fat. Kate Moss recently said her motto is "nothing tastes better than skinny" which has caused a storm over here in the national news headlines and everything even on TV. Just enticing more and more aspiring young girls to become anorexic. Horrible profession. That film had a lot of poignancy as this sort of thing does happen.... I'm OK, I was exploring Google Street View in London earlier. Really great resource! Sometime I'll get around to watching those films. Actually I'll move them from my archive into my to-do list, I haven't forgotten! Himalayan 20:31, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
