Deletion discussion about Jonnu Smith[edit]

Hello, Slasher405,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Jonnu Smith should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jonnu Smith .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Your revert; ledes[edit]

Per wp:lede, your addition was not appropriate. --2604:2000:E016:A700:4817:7C35:95FE:6A92 (talk) 21:33, 20 April 2017 (UTC)

Please see the previous reversion. It could be considered point-blanking, and that could also be inappropriate. Slasher405 (talk) 21:37, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
I do not understand what you are trying to say. The material moved from the lede to the body did not belong in the lede. Per wp:lede. But you keep restoring it. Without an understandable explanation. I've linked to wp:lede for you. --2604:2000:E016:A700:4817:7C35:95FE:6A92 (talk) 21:47, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
And now, you just after this discussion, and after edit warring, gave me a warning? This makes no sense. I quoted wp:lede to you. 2604:2000:E016:A700:4817:7C35:95FE:6A92 (talk) 21:51, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
I just started a discussion at ANI. Slasher405 (talk) 21:59, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
  • Given the input from other editors in this ANI discussion, I will revert. Nobody else seems to understand your rationale, or accept it, and I above gave you my rationale. I agree with the other comments at ANI (except for the one asking why neither of us opened up talk page discussion - as you pointed out, I did). 2604:2000:E016:A700:584:4549:565B:AFCB (talk) 16:39, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
  • As for your request, we will reach an agreement, so the added content at the beginning of the article will no longer be put up. Slasher405 (talk) 16:46, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

NFL Draft[edit]

There's no need to add the date the player was drafted. The round and draft selection is good enough--Yankees10 15:33, 29 April 2017 (UTC)

Forgive me. Slasher405 (talk) 15:36, 29 April 2017 (UTC)

May 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm ScrapIronIV. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Kimberley Garner, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.

@ScrapIronIV: If you check out the link to her profile at IMDB, it shows proof of her birth date. Slasher405 (talk) 18:31, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
IMDB is not a reliable source for biographical information. ScrpIronIV 18:49, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
Nothing more to worry. I will not put any repeated info back. Slasher405 (talk) 18:51, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
It's OK, it takes a while to get accustomed to all the special little ways Wikipedia has of doing things. My first year was quite rocky. It will start to come naturally come in time. :-) ScrpIronIV 19:30, 1 May 2017 (UTC)

Your WP:ANEW report[edit]

Hi Slasher405. Thanks for helping out. In this case, it would have been better to use increasing levels of the uw-unsourced warning template (see Wikipedia:WikiProject User warnings/Usage and layout for more info) after each edit and then reporting to WP:AIV after the final-level warning. Also, a new editor has to be warned about WP:3RR and reverted after the warning before they can be reported to WP:ANEW. --NeilN talk to me 01:46, 3 May 2017 (UTC)

Curtis Samuel contract[edit]

You posted Sterling Shepard's contract on Curtis Samuel's Wikipedia page. Your reference said Samuel may receive a similar contract, but that does not mean you post Shepard's contract numbers on Samuel's page. Its wrong and very misleading to users who do not check your reference. Toeknee44 (talk) 00:42, 27 May 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Zack Greinke, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Depression (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:45, 15 October 2017 (UTC)

You might be exposed...[edit]

Just a simple copy-and-paste nonsense pool here. No need to debate any further from here. Slasher405 (talk) 20:24, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.

There is currently a discussion on the Administrators' noticeboard for incidents, regarding an issue where you may be involved. Slasher405 (talk) 19:32, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

Exposed? Am I hiding something? Akocsg (talk) 01:01, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
You have nothing to hide. You performed forgery of another user's signature. I'm turning you in for this. Slasher405 (talk) 01:04, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
What are you talking about? What signature? Akocsg (talk) 01:06, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
My signature of course. You not only imitated a previous message that I left on your talk page, but you put my signature in instead of yours. I don't think it's right to just copy a previously message on your talk page, and put it in the one who gave you the message. You have to be more careful. Slasher405 (talk) 01:11, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
I don't understand what the issue is mate. All I did was answer your message and put it also in your talk page, so you notice it. What's the problem with this? Akocsg (talk) 01:13, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
The bottom line is, at first, you copied a message that I put on your talk page, and put it on my talk page, with my signature instead of yours. That really is not allowed. I'm no admin or any sort of op, but, you still could get in trouble just for posting something that copies or imitates another message, even if it has someone else's signature. Slasher405 (talk) 01:20, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
I still don't get what the problem is about that, but ok, I won't do it again. So please delete that message on both noticeboards, because as they are now they are misleading. Regards, Akocsg (talk) 01:30, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

Could you please reconsider your message on that admins noticeboard? It's really misleading this way. I'm not doing "foul play", if you would check my edit history. And this forgery thing is obviously just a misunderstanding. It was a common practice to just copy text to the other users' talk pages. Many other users also do this. I didn't intend to "imitate" or something.

And btw, in the edit-warring noticeboard that IP account is obviously doing some witch hunt based on personal reasons, since there is no edit-warring going on in that article. Regards, Akocsg (talk) 01:23, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

Mistake.--Yankees10 22:53, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Listen, it's all right. We all make mistakes. It was a good edit, and that's all that matters. You have been quite a veteran on Wikipedia, knowing a lot about football and baseball. Every editor has a right to voluntarily help out and type up what exactly what was true in the past games. In the meantime, just about every edit has to cite a reliable source and reference in the aftermath, so it reflects on those events properly. Slasher405 (talk) 22:58, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Removing Plot tags[edit]

Please be more careful. In at least one case you removed a Plot tag claiming the summary looked like it was between 400-700 words, when it was over 800 words. It should be easy enough to get a word count before de-tagging, but please let me know if you need assistance. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 15:09, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

Incorrectly reverted edit on John Boyega's Wiki[edit]

SPI tags[edit]

Hi there I'm just wondering why are you messing with SPI tags after a clerk has dealt with them? Specifically here after a SPI clerk, Sir Sputnik tagged it and Ponyo positively confirmed via Checkuser that this is a sock? CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 19:15, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

At first, I saw that the block was only three months, and then there was confusion. I'm so sorry for all this misunderstanding, but thanks for your concerns. Slasher405 (talk) 21:33, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

Julian Edelman[edit]

I don't what went wrong, but you added a reference saying the title was Julian Edelman suspended 4 games. At least the article I can see has the headline Julian Edelman facing four-game suspension for PEDs. I don't know if the article at one point had that headline, but the actual reference URL itself, which you used, says ....article/julian-edelman-facing-fourgame-suspension-for-peds . If that was a deliberate replacement of the title with one you preferred, please don't do that, it creates confusion. Tarl N. (discuss) 01:52, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
