Merge proposal[edit]

Hi, if you want to propose merging two articles you need to put the merge template on both articles and have them both point to a section on the destination article's talk page that gives your reasons why they should be merged so others can comment - see wp:merging#Proposing a merger. DYK for Open–closed political spectrum[edit]

Contents
Updated DYK query.svg On 24 May 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Open–closed political spectrum, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the 2017 French presidential election was not fought between left and right, but between open and closed? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Open–closed political spectrum. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Open–closed political spectrum), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Battle of Bamber Bridge. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Battle of Bamber Bridge), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Proposed deletion of Government News Network[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Government News Network has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia:Notability (media) and Wikipedia:Notability (websites)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Homepage?[edit]

Congratulations on the promotion to FA status of your Northern England article. I think it would make for an excellent article on the home page. I think you should propose it at WP:TFAR. I will certainly support it. Best, Edwininlondon (talk) 20:51, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

@Edwininlondon: Thanks! Have nominated it here Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/Northern England. Smurrayinchester 08:26, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
