Draft:National Veterans Memorial and Museum[edit]

I've been working on List of national memorials of the United States so I came across your draft here. I think this is definitely a notable topic and should be moved to mainspace; I added some information and new sources to it but let me know what your thoughts on the article are! Would be nice to bluelink it before I get that to FLC. Reywas92Talk 07:05, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

@Reywas92: I've been sitting on that one for a while, but I think I'll have time and motivation to finish it for a potential Memorial Day DYK. It does need some copyediting, as another editor came in and added content without total adherence to MOS. Good luck on the FLC. SounderBruce 07:08, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Access dates for print sources[edit]

Hi. Regarding this edit, it's my understanding that access dates are only needed for sources that might be altered over time. The documentation of Template:Cite book says that access dates are "[n]ot required for linked documents that do not change", such as published books and research papers. Because the Google Books and HathiTrust links point to scans of physical sources, including access dates for them does not have any utility IMO. Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 21:10, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

Would you object if I restore my edit? Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 02:49, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
@Lord Bolingbroke: The scans could change (either being replaced or taken down) over time, so I'd rather have a date that can be referenced when needing to search through the Wayback Machine. It also keeps things consistent and prevents the article from being added to a "URL but no accessdate" tracking category. SounderBruce 02:56, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

Query[edit]

Was it a test? I don`t think it was.Wikimadguy16 (talk) 16:59, 16 April 2019 (UTC)

Wikimadguy16, you seem to have tried adding links to football (with a pipe saying soccer), but forgot the brackets. Nonetheless, this is against WP:DUPLINK and also points to a disambiguation page instead of the correct article (association football). SounderBruce 00:22, 17 April 2019 (UTC)

Sorry Wikimadguy16 (talk) 14:53, 17 April 2019 (UTC)

DYK for Mayan Train[edit]

Updated DYK query.svgOn 18 April 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mayan Train, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Mayan Train was approved in a public referendum that garnered only a one percent voter turnout? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mayan Train. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Mayan Train), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
