June 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Cyphoidbomb. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Duvvada Jagannadham, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Diff: [1] Per WP:UGC, we're not interested in what random websites have to say, as anyone can start a website and print whatever they want. We only care what reliable published sources with established reputations for fact-checking and accuracy have to say about any given subject. pycker.com doesn't quite fit the bill. Please stick to major news sites. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:58, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Nithiin Reddy Profile Pic.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Unsourced DOB violates WP:BLPPRIVACY[edit]

Hi there, re: this edit, please don't add unsourced birthdates to articles, as this potentially violates an article subject's privacy. See WP:BLPPRIVACY. If the birthdate has been widely published by reliable sources (not blogs, not IMDb, not random websites, but established mainstream publications) then you can include the content with a source. See Referencing for Beginners to learn more about that. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:06, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

October 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to List of highest-grossing Telugu films. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 10:44, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Diff: [2][3][4][5] You seem to be here largely to spam links to pycker.com. Please stop. We don't care what content harvesting websites or faceless blogs have to say about anything. Stick to mainstream sites like major newspapers, major magazines. We only care what sources with established-reputations for fact-checking and accuracy have to say. See this list for examples of suitable and unsuitable sources for Indian film articles. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:52, 10 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
