Edits to Dave Stewart (musician)[edit]

Regarding this edit; by which I infer you are the subject in question? As you may know, Wikipedia is edited by anyone and - what may surprise you - the subject of an article is subject to more stringent application of the rules than strangers when editing articles in which they have a personal relationship. This is chiefly dealt with by the Conflict of interest policy, which generally says that anything included by an interested party needs to be backed up by other third party sources. It may seem a bit tough on the individual (or group or company) concerned, but there has been too many instances of people using the encyclopedia as a promotional tool rather than a resource. In your favour, though, there is the Biography of living people policy which says that nothing negative may be included without reliable third party sources, and there must be a valid reason for its conclusion. Swings and roundabouts.

If you are keeping an eye on the article, you may wish to learn more about how to edit Wikipedia so the better to maintain it in the best encyclopedic manner. I shall then include our standard "Welcome" template, with lots of helpful links. Cheers.
