Adrianople Vilayet[edit]

(talk) 20:28, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

Bilgi çıkarmıyorum[edit]

Merhaba Takabeg. Ben bilgi çıkarmamakla birlikte sadece daha düzenli hale getiriyorum. Sadece Kurtuluş Savaşı'na katılan Türk askerlerinde böyle bir düzenlik oluşmuş. Onu düzenliyorum. Bu kadar emek vererek düzenlediğimi sayfaları rica ediyorum geri almayın.--Türk Süvarisi (talk) 13:20, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

RE:List of Kurds[edit]

Hi Takabeg, you have removed Mehmed Uzun, even though it says on his page that he is Kurdish. Why? Ahmetyal (talk) 13:36, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

Articles of Wikipedia(s) themselves are not Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. In the article List of Kurds, Mehmed Uzun is not the only problem. Takabeg (talk) 00:30, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Abdul Kerim Pasha[edit]

Hello! What did the literature you use for create the article? Senior Strateg (talk) 10:51, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi. I didn't create that article. I only provided sources. Takabeg (talk) 10:54, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
What are you provided the sources? Senior Strateg (talk) 11:12, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Thanks! Senior Strateg (talk) 11:53, 3 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello, Takabeg!

"(Mehmed Uzun, Mehmet Ali Erbil and Ismail I. were removed. Reason: No evidence & sources.)" Please, feel free to check out their respective Wikipedia articles.

As for the Zand dynasty and Safavid dynasty, check out their respective articles (I've created links for you to use, just click on their names! Gotta love how Wikipedia works :).

Regards, Hvakshahtrah (talk) 13:28, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Wikipedia articles are not Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. Mehmed Uzun is one of the prominent names of Kurdish literature, but he is not ethnic Kurd. I know that some people are claimed of Kurdish descent. But they are not prominant Kurds. So it's very comic when we find their name in List of Kurds. Do you understand what I want to say ? Takabeg (talk) 14:22, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Please check and verify the map file used in the article Azerbaijani language. It's original work, unsourced, and unreliable. Here the file link. Thanks. Zheek (talk) 10:40, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

How did you find those sources for Araksi Cetinyan?! Thank you so much! Proudbolsahye (talk) 06:05, 10 January 2013 (UTC)

I'm interested in the history of Armenians (see: A, B). But I oppose to provocations of ethnic hostility such as this message :)) Cheers. Takabeg (talk) 09:16, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
Haha :) Thank you for your contributions. I've added an infobox for Mehmed Uzun as well. One of my favorite contemporary writers. Proudbolsahye (talk) 20:39, 10 January 2013 (UTC)

Cult of Personality[edit]

I've noticed that you've removed the Kenan Evren from the page. Are you sure he is not a c o p? There was a government supported propaganga about the coup and the leaders of the coup after 1980. If your conclusion about Turkey is (Ataturk was a c o p and Evren was not)... I believe you have a problem with being NPOV as a writer. Would you revalue your POV about c o p for the sake of Wikipedia? Ataturk doesn't fit in the basic definition of c o p. Unless the basic definition and conceptualisation is changed, Ataturk should not be there... Or maybe add some other national heroes or founders of states to make it "more nautral"... I honestly think this is ridiculous. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 15:50, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is considered as cult personality according to Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. However, there are no proof of Kenan Evren. Takabeg (talk) 15:54, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

Notice of Dispute resolution discussion[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding a content dispute in which you may have been involved. Content disputes can hold up article development, therefore we are requesting your participation to help find a resolution. The thread is "Battle of Jamrud".

Guide for participants

If you wish to open a DR/N filing, click the "Request dispute resolution" button below this guide or go to Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/request for an easy to follow, step by step request form.

What this noticeboard is:
  • It is an early step to resolve content disputes after talk page discussions have stalled. If it's something we can't help you with, or is too complex to resolve here, our volunteers will point you in the right direction.
What this noticeboard is not:
  • It is not a place to deal with the behavior of other editors. We deal with disputes about article content, not disputes about user conduct.
  • It is not a place to discuss disputes that are already under discussion at other dispute resolution forums.
  • It is not a substitute for the talk pages: the dispute must have been discussed extensively on a talk page (not just through edit summaries) before resorting to DRN.
  • It is not a court with judges or arbitrators that issue binding decisions: we focus on resolving disputes through consensus, compromise, and explanation of policy.
Things to remember:
  • Discussions should be civil, calm, concise, neutral, and objective. Comment only about the article's content, not the other editors. Participants who go off-topic or become uncivil may be asked to leave the discussion.
  • Let the other editors know about the discussion by posting {{subst:drn-notice}} on their user talk page.
  • Sign and date your posts with four tildes "~~~~".
  • If you ever need any help, ask one of our volunteers, who will help you as best as they can. You may also wish to read through the FAQ page located here and on the DR/N talkpage.

Please take a moment to review the simple guide and join the discussion. Thank you! EarwigBot operator / talk 23:08, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

Dispute Resolution[edit]

Please see here. Thanks. --Kansas Bear (talk) 23:13, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

I have decided to oversee the resolution of the aforementioned dispute on the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard. I am a volunteer at the DRN, and I have reopened the case. However, as I note in my comment thereon, I can do very little without any opening statements by the parties. Should you wish that the dispute be marked as closed, please inform me as soon as possible. Please be aware that in order to close the dispute, I require consensus on this matter from all parties.

I hope this helps you.

--The Historian (talk) 19:47, 15 January 2013 (UTC)

We await your opening as the last editor involved. Please take a moment to make your opening comments or let one of the volunteers know if you are declining participation in the DR/N.--Amadscientist (talk) 23:11, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
Hi, I'm not one of the editors involved. I only shew some basic policies of Wikipedia. Many articles in English Wikipedia are written in accordance with ethnocentric historiography. This article is one of them. It's difficult for us to neutralize all of them. Cheers. Takabeg (talk) 03:58, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for responding. I will remove your name from the case.--Amadscientist (talk) 06:20, 19 January 2013 (UTC)

Please revert your edit on K.H. Ece. It looks like you are interested in ethnicity with a "racist" approach. (I know you are not.) All Turkish nationals are Turks; ethnicity is an additional issue. If not, we would be calling "American" only the indigenous peoples of America. Please try to understand. Thank you and greetings. --E4024 (talk) 23:24, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

I don't prefer racist approach. I only oppose to ethnocentric propaganda and assimilation policies of the Turkish government, Kurdish ethnocentrists etc... Thank you. Takabeg (talk) 23:27, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

No worries, don't thank me, thank WP:BRD. But step 3 of (1)B (2)R (3)D is that you should now make a comment on Talk page explaining that you (2)Revert, and (3)Discuss. Good luck! In ictu oculi (talk) 03:19, 24 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi again, Your remark about the beyliks in Talk:Historic states represented in Turkish presidential seal is interesting. It shouldn't be lost in the talk page. If you can source your claim, why don't you add a section (maybe triva) about it ? Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 16:56, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Ali ibn al-Athir[edit]

Would you be interested in "digging" around and see if you can verify his ethnicity? I do not believe any nationalists have edited this article, but the source for his being Kurdish seems a little weak. Thanks. --Kansas Bear (talk) 22:05, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

It's very difficult for us (every user) to verify ethnicity of medieval people :) We can only know languages that he/she used & nationalists' claims. What do you think M. Izady's works ? Probably you've read Trapped Between the Map and Reality: Geography and Perceptions of Kurdistan. Did anyone apply to en:Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard for M. Izady ? Takabeg (talk) 22:18, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
Well, I have seen Al-Athir mentioned as an Arab historian, so I was curious what you might have come across. I will check my Encyclopedia of Islam and see what it says(if anything). Thanks Takabeg. --Kansas Bear (talk) 22:46, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

Turkish names changed by a bot[edit]

Can you please correct some Turkish names which bot wrongly changed in some articles? VoxelBot had task to change letters in some Romanian names, but since letter "ş" is shared by both languages, Turkish and Romanian, bot also wrongly changed Turkish names. In several articles name of Ottoman province "Eyalet of Temeşvar" was changed to "Eyalet of Temeșvar" with letter "ș" instead "ş". Can you please revert back these Turkish names to their correct form? Here is a list of articles where this should be done:

I would do it by myself, but I am currently not able to because of some problems. I hope that you can spare few minutes to correct that. Thank you. (talk) 18:13, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi Takabeg, In the list of Qaghans of the Turkic khaganates I noticed that Yiran and Tengri khagans were shown as childeren of Ilterish khagan. Besides Qutluk Yabgu was shown as a Basmyl chief. These notes contradict with what I read in my references. Can you please check your sources ? Thanks Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 21:42, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

Reference on Ibn Khallikan[edit]

I saw your addition of references to Ibn Khallikan specifically the Encyclopaedic Historiography of the Muslim World, Global Vision Publishing Ho, 2004. I guess it was discussed(somewhere) and decided that Global Vision Publishing was not a reliable publishing house. So you might want to remove that reference. Just thought I would give you a "heads up". Keep up the good work! --Kansas Bear (talk) 03:51, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

You mean Global Vision Publishing Ho is not reliable source ? Takabeg (talk) 05:54, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Sakine Cansız[edit]

Hi Takabeg! Concerning the esperanto version of the article eo:Sakine Cansız, we are ready to add eo:Kategorio:Zazaoj when the english version has this category added. The fact that her funeral was held with Zazaki language is not a proof in itself. It is said in article Zaza people that "Almost all speakers of the Zaza language consider themselves as Kurds". -- (talk) 20:00, 18 April 2013 (UTC) (Dominik)

Articles of Wikipedias are not reliable sources. Especially propagated articles. Takabeg (talk) 10:41, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
Hello Takabeg! This is Dominik again. I did not want to disappoint you, but I also checked the russian version, in which they rolled back your edit. -- (talk) 13:00, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
As I've said, articles of Wikipedias themself are not Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. Sakine's ethnicity is not important for me. The important is articles and editors of Wikipedias are not reliable :) It's very clear point. Merci. Takabeg (talk) 03:41, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Hasan Tahsin Pasha[edit]

Hi Takabeg. I write you here because I just want to ask you if you got any secondary sources in Turkish bibliography about the birth of Tahsin Pasha. The article above mentions that he was born in Molista, but without a citation. Do you know anything about? Thanks in advance...--Γλαύκος message 16:23, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

-Writer: User:Aguzer 17:26, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

--Kmoksy (talk) 10:45, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Establishments in Turkey by year[edit]

I noticed that you established many of the categories like Category:1920 establishments in the Ottoman Empire. Your doing so without having discussed it, at least not in a way that some people think was broadly enough (I am not one who holds such views) was attacked at the discussion of merging Category:1920 establishments in Turkey into that category. I figured you might want to weigh in, and discuss the reasons behind creating this category.John Pack Lambert (talk) 16:47, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

List of massacres in Turkey[edit]

Hello, I am writing this to you in order to inform you that some Turkish-related articles have for quite some time been hijacked by a group of editors whose only goal, it seems, is to negatively portray the Republic of Turkey, its predesseccors and its people as warmongerming murderers. This has especially become a problem in the article of List of massacres in Turkey where they only allow information about Turks killing others, and delete all reliabely sourced information about massacres against Turks/Muslims. By doing WP:OR, discrediting sources and authors, source falsification, distortion and tag bombing.

Sources which state the number of Muslims casualties during the Greco-Turkish war is persistently being deleted.

Your help is needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 20:24, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

--Esc2003 (talk) 09:45, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

I remember your interest in the Battle of Romani and thought you might want to know about this dispute, which has recently been added to the Talk:Ottoman Empire page, here [11]. As a result of a MILHIST consensus Turkey is being wrongly imposed on more and more Sinai and Palestine Campaign articles. --Rskp (talk) 01:55, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

No it does not MarcusBritish, I was merely informing an interested editor, who had changed Turkey to Ottoman Empire in the Battle of Romani article on 2 November 2010. --Rskp (talk) 23:17, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

Hsiung-nu Tarihi[edit]

Merhabalar Takabeg,

Commons'taki lisans[edit]

Merhabalar Takabeg, Commons'ta Türk Deniz Kuvvetleri'nin sitesinden eklediğiniz resimlerde kullandığınız lisans şablonunun aynısını hava ve kara kuvvetleri için yapabilirmisiniz acaba, ben beceremedim de. Vaktiniz yoksa sıkıntı değil tabiki. KazekageTR (talk) 12:34, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

Rename "Dohuk" → "Duhok"[edit]

Dear Takabeg,

I see that you took part in a earlier rename of the article Dohuk. I believe there are good reasons for the article to have remained Duhok, and have outlined them in the section Talk:Dohuk#Requested move 2014. I would be grateful for your contribution on this matter once again.

Thank you,

Gareth Hughes (talk) 15:44, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

I have opened a sockpuppet investigation case for this ethnocentric Kurd. He involved in edit-war in Zaza-related articles too. If you noticed other suspicions about him, please comment here. Possibly meatpuppets of him are: Ahmetyal, Alsace.

— Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 16:46, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

Photograph of Seyit Çabuk for Featured Picture[edit]

@Takabeg:Hey I nominated one of your uploads for the "Featured picture of the day", didn't inform you on the matter since there was some dispute on it, sorry about the delay, hope it was alright. Not going to post the link here for the page since it would be inappropriate but feel free to vote and share your thoughts on it of course if you would like to do so. Have a nice one.
