Details

When I check the details of RfAs, it gives my username as Jackrm, which my username was previously, but I quite recently - a month or two ago, got it usurped. Jackrm is now a seperate account owned by me, so do you have any idea why it gives my username as Jackrm? I'm just wondering, thanks. Jack?! 11:42, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Redirects

Hi,

Could you please help me:

I want "unicoms" and "Unicoms" to be redirected to "UniComs".

Thank you in advance!

Query

Tango, do you happen to know how I can have a small version of your RFA analysis report on my talk page? I saw a small version somewhere once but I've not been able to find it again. SlimVirgin (talk)(contribs) 19:19, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your response. It wasn't the bureaucrat's version. It was someone who posted your report, but in a smaller script, so that it took up less space. But no worries. I'm sure I'll come across it again one day. :-) SlimVirgin (talk)(contribs) 19:43, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Google-Groups-Listview.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Google-Groups-Listview.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 03:44, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Redirect tool

While searching for redirects to Template:Db-author, I was informed by your tool that User talk:LaGrange was one! Just thought you'd want to know - it's probably because there is text underneath the redirect. Happymelon 19:09, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

TT, thanks for your Very Excellent Tool, but I noticed the same behavior. Whatredirectshere to Ron Paul included User:Seanwarner86/UserBoxes, which was similarly a redirect page to User:Seanwarner86 with text underneath the redirect. Clearly your tool is asking the questions "Does it link here" and "Is it a redirect" instead of "Is it a redirect to here", which strikes me as a clear bug. For all, the quick fix on the user side is to delete the text under the redirect, which I have done. Best wishes! John J. Bulten (talk) 13:39, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Question about Tangobot

Excuse me if this has been asked already, but why does Tangobot update two different RFA tallies at the hour and at the half hour, instead of one update every half an hour? Thanks! Icestorm815Talk 01:46, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

User:Tangotango/RfA Analysis/Report

RfB do not show up on User:Tangotango/RfA Analysis/Report. Is there a separate page for RfBs? Or could you please add RfBs to that report? Kingturtle (talk) 13:02, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Along similar lines, however, we were wondering over at RfA talk if combining your template and the RfB one would be possible. To see the rest of the discussion, please see Wikipedia_talk:Requests_for_adminship#RfB_reports.3F. Thanks, SorryGuy  Talk  04:53, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Bug report

Hi when viewing the output of one of you programs, I noticed a possible bug. I was originally renamed from User:VivioFateFan to User:Vivio Testarossa, however the "tool" currently continues to list as User:VivioFateFan, could you please check in to this. If you return...

Hi there Tangotango!

When you return to Wikipedia - can you make Tangobot3 also monitor Wikipedia:Editor assistance/Requests - I was also wondering if you could implement a feature which would let users add new pages to monitor, with a required status of operator, for example.

This is for the IRC channel #wikipedia-en-help - on the Network Freenode.

Thanks,

User registration date/time finder

Hello, I like this tool. I tested it on "de.wikipedia.org" with my Username ("APPER") - I had to use the estimation function, because I registered myself back in 2004. I wondered why it loads so long (around half a minute) and had a look at the source and tried it on the toolserver by myself. You use:

SELECT rev_user_text, rev_user, MIN(rev_timestamp) FROM revision WHERE rev_user IN ($userlist) GROUP BY rev_user_text ORDER BY rev_user

The problem is the part GROUP BY rev_user_text. Is there a reason you're using rev_user_text and not rev_user? I tried it directly on the mysql console and hat these results:

mysql> SELECT rev_user_text, rev_user, MIN(rev_timestamp) FROM revision WHERE rev_user IN (10276, 10277, 10278, 10279, 10280, 10281, 10282, 10283, 10284, 10285) GROUP BY rev_user_text ORDER BY rev_user;

As you can see, the result is the same (but maybe I forgot something special?) and it's nearly 60 times faster... So maybe you can speed up your tool using the second query.

I also have a wish ;). I think it's not only interesting, who are the 12 people registered after you but also some before... maybe you can change this, too ;) --APPER (talk) 22:59, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

RFA duplicate vote false positive

I thought perhaps it might be a good idea to let you know, there was a false positive for duplicate voter here. I suspect it was because asenine does not have a link to his/her userpage. Unlinking the link to Friday's userpage resolved the false hit. I gather this is a one-off situation which probably does not require any action. xenocidic (talk) 13:41, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I never thought about that. Thanks.  Asenine  14:35, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
No problem. Perhaps a <span style="display:none"> link to your userpage might resolve this, or just avoid linking to other users' pages in your !votes. xenocidic (talk) 14:40, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Bot issue

At my RfA, your bot won't count the neutral section unless extra characters are added at the problem. I compared the RfA to other RfAs, where the neutrals were being counted, and I don't get where the problem lies. Hope you see this, Enigma message 05:46, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

『2007年8月9日 (木) 05:20 Aphaia (会話 | 投稿記録) "Penpen (会話 | 投稿記録)" を 無期限 ブロックしました (アカウント作成のブロック, メール送信のブロック) ‎ (Disruptive behaviour: already banned permanently from jawiki from the same reason; trolled on Talk:Wikimedia Japan)』[1]
Penpen (talk) 23:53, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

thank you

redirection from Thornhill High School

Hello Your name appears as the person to contact if there is a problem with redirects to The Community Science College @ Thornhill AT present, typing Thornhill HIgh School into the Wikipedia search box results in an immediate redirection to The Community Science College @ Thornhill As there is a legitimate Thornhill High School in Zimbabwe, which does have an entry on Wikipedia, this is inappropriate. Typing Thornhill School (i.e. without the word High) offers a choice of possible articles. But anyone who types Thornhill High School is not offered any choices. Please could this redirect be removed? Thanks 125.238.84.140 (talk) 20:36, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Carolyn Joyce Carty

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Carolyn Joyce Carty, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. jonathon (talk) 02:26, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Nubio error

Hey Tangotango :-) I was just using Nubio and received a "MySQL error: User 'tangotango' has exceeded the 'max_user_connections' resource (current value: 15" any way to avoid that? Incidentally, a "Nubio" google search now points to your tool as the number one entry. I am seeing if we can reintroduce a Nubio link on the Help desk, as the current Google search link is poor in comparison. Nevermind about the error, it seems to have cleared itself up. Nice to speak to you anyhow :-) Regards, --Commander Keane (talk) 10:11, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Mayflower

To search commons, I liked using Mayflower. These days its database became a bit stale. I was wondering if you could update it at some point. BTW I'm not sure if this helps and it's likely that you are already aware of this, but apparently the commons database is replicated to two toolserver servers, only one is "s3" that is down. -- User:Docu —Preceding unsigned comment added by Docu (talkcontribs) 22:41, 9 February 2009
