Sheikh Inzamamuzzaman moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Sheikh Inzamamuzzaman, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. - @Scope creep:, can you elaborate on this? Every statement in the article at the time it was moved to draft was referenced, other than the birthdate. I'm not convinced of notability, but referencing does not seem to be an issue. TJRC (talk) 19:26, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- @TJRC: I reviewed it as part of WP:NPP. A lot of references are those low-quality X of Y finalists, winners, articles with small paragraphs or profiles covering each them. I didn't really add up to much. It needs in-depth coverage for BLP articles and the moment its not there. Its doesn't satisfy WP:BIO nor WP:SIGCOV, after after I did a search. I'm surprised you posted it to mainspace, to be homes. It looks likes a PAID effort, without the independent coverage needed to support it. - Looking at the English-language sources, I don't see them as questionable. I'm in doubt as to whether they rise to notability (that would hinge largely on the awards, I think); but I see no issue with the references.
- AFD would probably be a better route than a unilateral move to draftspace. (Speedy is inapplicable, because it's not overtly promotional and does have some claims of notability; and a PROD would likely be reverted pretty quickly.) TJRC (talk) 20:52, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
