A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Non-dimensionalization and Scaling of Navier-Stokes Equation is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Non-dimensionalization and Scaling of Navier-Stokes Equation until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Crowsnest (talk) 12:50, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Talkpage WikiProject Physics

[edit]

Hello Teja.v36, I mentioned the ongoing AfD discussion on the talkpage of WikiProject Physics: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Physics#Non-dimensionalization and Scaling of Navier-Stokes Equation. Although I assume it is disappointing for you that there is a discussion about possible deletion of your article, it is not about the article being good or bad. It merely is whether this topic fits (as a separate article) within the scope of this encyclopaedia. Best regards, Crowsnest (talk) 16:07, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - in case you haven’t already seen: Help:Displaying a formula may help with typing LaTeX. Also I indented (with a colon ":" ) the main formulae to display since they stand out better; see also WP:MOSMATH#Using LaTeX markup. Also please add links to other related articles (Wikipedia:Wikilink) and references (Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources). Thank you, Maschen (talk) 13:54, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions. Could we ask that you fill in the edit summaries? They only need to be very brief; even just one/few words would help make clear your intensions (this is especially helpful for all other editors on articles where you may not be the author). Thank you. Maschen (talk) 21:24, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Non-dimensionalization and Scaling of Navier-Stokes Equation

[edit]

Hi, I'm Crowsnest. Teja.v36, thanks for creating Non-dimensionalization and Scaling of Navier-Stokes Equation!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The article now gives the wrong impression there is only one way of non-dimensionalisation. See the sources in the "Further reading" section. -- Crowsnest (talk) 21:54, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Compare:

Pr (\frac{\partial^2 W^*}{\partial X^{*2}} + \frac{\partial^2 W^*}{\partial Z^{*2}})
Pr \left(\frac{\partial^2 W^*}{\partial X^{*2}} + \frac{\partial^2 W^*}{\partial Z^{*2}}\right)

Although it's not a problem - please get it right!... Thanks, M∧Ŝc2ħεИτlk 17:45, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
