Information icon Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, wikis, personal websites, and websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight. These sources may express views that are widely acknowledged as pushing a particular point-of-view, sometimes even extremist, being promotional in nature, or relying heavily on rumors and personal opinions. One of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Hello TheMaharlikan. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:TheMaharlikan. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=TheMaharlikan|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. MrOllie (talk) 15:18, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello MrOllie thank you for your message. I am in no way getting paid for my edits. I am contributing some content to wikipedia articles coming from some of our collections in our Museum Gabriela Carino Silang Museum in Tayum Abra Philippines And information of persons relevant to the unveiling of the famous Gabriela Silang monument both related. It may look as if the information are all the same but this are the only information we can contribute to wikipeda while we are still working on adding more information on other pieces in our collection that can be used as samples images, reference, samples and history. Our collections consist of Arts like picasso, renoir etc.., antiques, fossils, ancient weapons, relics, ceramics, gemstones old coins, stamps, artifacts etc.. i feel that any of the samples and information we have can be used in wikipedia specially our unique pieces we will are planning to add more one sample at a time. If you feel it doesnt fit wikipedia the way we describe it in the articles kindly help us how to do so. Thank you for your time best regards TheMaharlikan (talk) 16:05, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you say 'our collections'? Are you employed by the museum? MrOllie (talk) 16:20, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The museum collection have been collected by different people in the family including me.
The we are descendants of Gabriela Silang the building the museum itself is part of history and we have filled it with everything we can collect. I collect gemstones, fossils, artifacts and bit of art, other relatives collect old documents, stamps, art works, antiques etc.. we do our part in acquiring more pieces for display. And i feel many of these pieces can be used in Wikipedia
If you need more info about our collections and history ill be more than happy to provide more information
Many thanks 112.198.95.74 (talk) 16:28, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We cannot use self published materials that have been collected by the family as sources, nor can we use the obviously self published sites you have been linking so far. Old documents and stamps aren't useful for Wikipedia editing - you should read WP:RS and stick to books from academic publishers, peer-reviewed journals and the like from now on. Also, as a family member you clearly do have a conflict of interest (see WP:COI) - you should read that page and follow its recommendations. MrOllie (talk) 16:33, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand thanks for your time TheMaharlikan (talk) 16:35, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
