Speedy deletion nomination of Hoërskool Jim Fouché
A tag has been placed on Hoërskool Jim Fouché requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Wgolf (talk) 16:11, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hi TheMainMan111: the above was a mistake because the editor could not read the article. I translated it and someone has added a couple of references, so it is not likely to be deleted. Thank you for the article! However, please do not write articles here on the English Wikipedia in languages other than English. I notice there is no article on the Afrikaans Wikipedia about the school. Put it there, too! They can then be linked together in the left margin ("interwiki"). A few things
TheMainMan111, I'm pointing out some policy things to a group of editors who appear to be friends of ShaunRoselt. One is that for something or someone to have a page on Wikipedia, we require notability - which in practice means that several independent and reliable sources (for example newspapers) have written about it or him/her at some length. There's a brief summary here and more detailed standards for people are here. Neither Shaun Roselt nor The Future Studios meet that standard yet; so they should not be linked to or listed as notable examples in other articles. Also, as an administrator I can see deleted articles, and the text you added to User:Delphi Freak/The Future Studios is very similar to the deleted article Delphi - Execute Files Helper, which was deleted the first time as a copyvio. Wikipedia is publication, and therefore copyright violation is taken very seriously here. We cannot copy others' words, or change them only a little; we must summarize in our own words, and use only brief quotations, in quotation marks or indented, when necessary. See this essay.
