Let's do this right and have a candlelight vigil. Here's my candle to get us started, and an approximation of the amount of tears already shed over your departure. -- Essjay · Talk 06:31, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

Hi, you don’t look like you’ll need it any longer, but you might be happy to know the ampersand bug was fixed. Sam Hocevar 01:55, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

|Thanks for supporting my RfA. It recently closed with final tally of 51/1/2. I sincerely appreciate it and I hope I can live up to your expectations. I will try my best to be a good administrator. If you ever need anything, just let me know. Thanks! -- Psy guy (talk) 05:49, 12 November 2005 (UTC)|

Re: Holy cow
Thanks a lot for the cucumber! That really means a lot to me. I put him up on my user page. I'm going to bed now, but I figured I'd let you know that I appreciate it. Thanks! Alex Schenck (that's Linuxbeak to you) 05:10, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
|I award this Barnstar to The Wub for heroic work fighting vandals|
I came upon your user page and contribution list at random and saw how very many vandalisms you have reverted. Keep up the good work! Gaius Cornelius 18:10, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
Thanks For Your Help On My User Page
I was kind of freaking out there, but your assistance was the first step towards finally fixing it later on when I was asking Titoxd for assistance. Hopefully TidyHTML will be working again soon enough. I figure if anything deserved a barnstar, that did, and tonight i'm going homemade. Therefore, please enjoy the company of my wild pet bear! Karmafist 07:16, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
You have expressed an interest in Wikimedia UK. Just to let you know I've posted a draft Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association of the proposed "Wikimedia UK" charitable company on Wikimedia UK/Memorandum of Association and Wikimedia UK/Articles of Association. It is proposed that these will receive initial approval by interested parties at a meeting on 27 November. I will put together a brief agenda for the more formal aspects of that meeting soon. Memo and Arts of Association are a company's constitution, and need to be agreed before the company is formed (though they can be changed at a later date). Please feel free to comment on the relevant talk pages (I'd rather the proposed drafts are left unedited so that it is easy to see what is going on) - particularly if there is something there that you would disagree with at the meeting, details of which can be found on the Wikimedia UK page on Wikimedia Meta-Wiki. Kind regards, jguk 19:12, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
Looking for an honest opinion
I'm working on the article motorized bicycle. I created a timeline. It is nominated for deletions. I was wondering if you could give me your opinion of the subject either at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Timeline of Motorized bicycle history or on my user talk page. Thank you. (p.s.: love the some of your categories, I stole you idea and put some on my user page.) --CyclePat 01:41, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
Hi! Thanks for keeping an eye on that page. There's continuing childish vandalism going on there at the moment, but the server is so agonishingly slow in accepting edits (at least here from Finland), that I can't keep up with it. Please continue your vigilance, thanks! --Janke | Talk 15:35, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
Hello! Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my userpage. Less than a minute after it happened, no less! -- Saikiri 21:44, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks a ton; I'll try it out. As for my userpage, I didn't really like it, and was working on a new one, so I blanked it - but since you think it's fine then I'll leave the old one up for now. -- Saikiri 05:52, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
Hello. Round four of Wikipedia Mind Benders will open on Thursday, December 1. This round will be drastically different from round three; part one will consist of a creative project, and part two will be developed from there. The full details will be released when the round opens. Time and speed should not be major factors in this round; thus, there is no exact opening time for the round as speed will not factor into the scoring. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 22:52, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
P.S. Please add Wikipedia:Mind Benders/to do to your watchlist to receive further announcements; the NotificationBot is currently down and all notifications will be placed on that page. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The Smiths' "This Charming Man"
Hi. I noticed that you placed the sample of "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" on the article about the Smiths. I was wondering if you could maybe upload a sample of "This Charming Man" and put it on the new article that I'm working on. It'd be much appreciated. Live Forever 19:57, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
Hi, The wub
Hi, I've noticed you've taken part in Wikifun before.
Just to let you know, Round 11 begins today at 0900 GMT. Dmn 04:27, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Wub, thanks for your support on my RfA. The final count was 46/0/0 (of which you were #46 - got through them all now!). I hope I'll live up to your faith in me in my use of the mop and bucket. Please accept this wikithanks as a token of my gratitude ;) --bainer (talk) 01:14, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

Yet Another RFA Thank You Note to clutter up your talk page...
Just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks for supporting me in my recent RFA. As you may know by now, I managed to squeak into Sysophood with a final vote of 46/13/2. I will endeavor to live up to your expectations.
Nice to know when someone's got your back. Mjformica 12:07, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
Hi, The wub – or is it just "wub" when addressing you? I want to thank you for voting to support me in my RfA. I know I'm very late thanking you, but I've been a bit caught up with college work. I hope I'll live up to the expectations of those who voted for me. I look forward to working with you as a fellow admin. Thanks again. Cheers. AnnH (talk) 17:25, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

Hi The wub (awesome!), thank you for voting in support of my RFA; the result was (28-0-0 ). I hope that I am able to fulfil the expectations of an admin. If you see me mess up anywhere, have any concerns (be it for my musical taste or edits), please don't hesitate to tell me! Take care. SoLando (Talk) 10:43, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
re: 666666th user
i think i am. i refreshed Special:Statistics until the user count was 666665 and then created my account. however i could very well have been the 666667th or 666668th; i think more than one person was trying to be the 666666th because when i refreshed it again the user count had gone up by three. 666666th user 15:25, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
News from Esperanza
Hello, fellow Esperanzians! This is just a friendly reminder that elections for Administrator General and two advisory council positions have just begun. Voting will last until Friday, December 30, so make sure you exercise your right to vote! Also, I'm pleased to announce the creation of the Esperanza mailing list. I urge all members to join; see Wikipedia:Esperanza/Contact for more information. All you need to do is email me and I will activate your account. This will be a great way to relax, stay in touch, and hear important announcements. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?)

- As you already know:
you are a bad man
What kind of a person would delete an article about a fun loving kid named Ben Marcotte because you think it is some attack on him? You make me sick and you need to think about what you do before you go ahead and delete a good article on a good man. I happen to know the real Ben Marcotte and the article is 100% true and it is in no way making fun of him. So for this Christmas Season please find it in your heart to put Ben Marcotte back on Wikipedia for all to enjoy.
Thank You, Anonymous

Sadly, I am too poor to afford shiny colored boxes and pictures. Nevertheless... Thanks for supporting my RfA. The final tally was a flamboyant 22/4/1. Deltabeignet 23:49, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
Hey The wub! Thanks for your support on my RfA. The final outcome was an unanimous (45/0/0), so I am now an administrator. If you need help, or have a question, please don't hesitate to let me know! Again, thanks! :D --Eliezer | £€åV€ m€ å m€§§åg€ 03:31, 22 December 2005 (UTC)

I just had to say hi!
I love your user page. Just have to say hi and leave my signature. I also, was wondering if you could leave your opinion on the delete page of Gallery of motorized bicycle. (seeing as I feel like it's either me or some other users that are being "dense." Anyhoot. Cheers. Merry Christmas. Don't eat to much. Stay healthy and all the best. RfA thanks from Deathphoenix
I just wanted to thank you for supporting me in my RfA. To tell you the truth, I was surprised by all the support I've gotten. I never saw myself as more than an occasional Wiki-hobbyist.
My wife sends her curses, as Wikipedia will likely suck up more of my time. She jokingly (I think) said she was tempted to log on to Wikipedia just to vote Oppose and let everyone know that she didn't want her husband to be an admin.
Thanks for voting for me in the Esperanza elections. I've been appointed to the Advisory Committee, thanks to your show of confidence in me. I'll do my best to make you proud, but please feel free to ask me for help at any time or to give me tips as to what you would like to do. Thanks for being an active member of Esperanza! I'll see you around. Titoxd(?!? - help us) 00:41, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for your vote! Please let me know if I can help you as an advisory council member in the future. And thanks for giving me something to go with my ham! karmafist 01:13, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
