Time of Christ problem?[edit]

Hello biggnome. Please help us understand why you are searching for and deleting phrases with "time of Christ" on Wikipedia articles? It is simply a way of writing BCE or BC in long hand and, in some cases, is culturally or religiously relevant to the article, making the point that something was going on before the advent of Christianity in a place, as well as providing some stylistic variety. Please would you consider responding here. Thank you. --Bermicourt (talk) 08:20, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 1[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Pre-Christian Slavic writing, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page CE (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Dating[edit]

Hi Biggnome. Thank you for your corrections at Amelungsburg (Süntel). However, please note that WP:ERA does not prefer BCE to BC (or vice-versa), so we shouldn't change one to the other without a talk page consensus. Cheers. --Bermicourt (talk) 11:23, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I was more concerned that one reference had periods and one didn't. I set out to unify style throughout the article, not realizing there were only two instances. In any case, the Manual of Style *does* prefer no periods, so your edit was incorrect and I have reverted it. Thebiggnome (talk) 21:19, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you recall, you changed BC to BCE earlier, so I merely put it back to the original and have done so again. Please do not change it again. --Bermicourt (talk) 21:25, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You are incorrect. You changed it to "B.C." not "BC" so your edit is now contrary to the Manual. Thebiggnome (talk) 21:30, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
