If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ALÁRA Lagos, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Stop[edit]

Please stop immediately. You may not start a WP article with a copy of an advertisement. DGG ( talk ) 01:54, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I see you actually inserted an adequate article at a slightly different title, Nigerian fashion. That kind of article is what yo should have done in the first place. There's a problem in using a draft about something else as a basis for writing, which is that once you save, it goes in the database and gets indexed, and the edits you didn't mean to save get saved in the history forever. If you need help with the mechanics, or anything else, ask me on my talk page or by email. I'm very experienced with articles from courses, from the 8 years I've been an administrator here. It's better to ask first than to try to figure out how to do something that might look like you;re violating our rules. DGG ( talk ) 06:15, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the tip! Now I know what to do moving forward. TiTiTeTe (talk) 08:07, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Article problems[edit]

Your additions to the Nigerian Fashion article include passages copied verbatim or nearly verbatim from a non-free source. This was detected by automatic plagiarism detection software. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, your entire contribution has to be deleted. Please review the Plagiarism and Copyright training module carefully before proceeding further.

In addition, your article layout needs improvement. Please see pages 7-9 of the Editing Wikipedia brochure. You should have received a hard copy from your instructor, but just in case, I have linked to it above. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:42, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
