MOS:DOC

Hello, I just used MOS:DOC while removing related honorifics from Desamangalam Ramakrishnan and then found that it is actually MOS:DOCTOR. I think that the former is fine to serve as a redirect for latter. What's your idea? - Aaqib Anjum Aafī (^talk) 00:31, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

The Indian cinema challenge can still function separately and the entries tipped in or can merge if there is consensus. Basically we want to see articles improved on every subject covering every state and lots of destubs, not just new stubs! similarly user Pawan Gupta moved page Gurjar Kshatriya Kadia to Kadia Gurjar, arbitarily without citing any reasons or citiation of names, I found it today only. Just checked he has already been blocked definately for his vandalism over many pages.

I request you to please undo the page move as Admin power you have, so that page creator and history are protected and page title of Gurjar Kshatriya Kadia is protected

It is an interesting question. The highest women civilian award in a large country like India is a significant one, in my opinion. I am surprised to see the AfD. In future, if you create such biography, try to create those articles first who have got more awards, and have more notable activities in their career. This will make the notability thing clearer. You might post this at WT:INB (posting on an noticeboard in neutral-wording should be fine) and ask for expert opinion on the award and notability. Help needed in improving and arranging a re-review of an AfC that has been rejected.

Hello there, I am trying to get a particular article(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Honey_Bafna) created under the Category:Living people Category:Male actors from Kolkata. I do understand the notability criteria, and therefore I have included newspaper articles both in Bengali as well as English about the said actor. Since I am new to writing a brand new article on Wikipedia, I also have tried to look at the format being used for articles existing about other actors in the same category. However, I am unable to grasp the difference between the reference material on those articles which have been sufficient for them versus mine. For example: I have took reference point of articles like Debadrita Basu, Jeetu Kamal etc. The last comment states that the article looks to have a COI with Zee Bangla, which I do not.Please advise how to improve and re-route the article for a re-review. Thanks much for your time.

About the article: first have a look at this section WP:NACTOR, and read carefully,. This will help you to understand what is notability guideline. Second, add more reliable sources (such as newspapers) in English/Bengali as reference, those should discuss the actor's work in details.
Coming to the CoI, if you are employed/interned by someone (here the channel) or if you have any other form of conflict of interest, that should be disclosed. For example, if I am employed by a person, and and I write about him/her that is not really a good idea, and falls under CoI. Now I have noted in your message you mentioned you do not have a CoI with Zee Bangla/Zee. Looking at your contribution I see your contribution are mostly related to Zee Bangla programs. Note: that does not prove that you have a CoI, it is just a possibility. I personally like to watch Discovery and NatGeo programs a lot, but other than just a viewer, I have no other connection. The Wikimedia Foundation announced that they will develop a universal code of conduct for all WMF projects. There is an open local discussion regarding the same.

Arbitration

A motion was passed to enact a 500/30 restriction on articles related to the history of Jews and antisemitism in Poland during World War II (1933–45), including the Holocaust in Poland. Article talk pages where disruption occurs may also be managed with the stated restriction.

After a long discussions and many proofs, now it's become easy to add 3 more categories: philosopher, composer and author. You can see the discussions there. Help on copyright violation issue

Hello, Tito Da, I have found 93% Violation Suspected issue on Sanatana Goswami Wikipage using Earwig's Copyvio Detector. See this. The first edit on this page seems like copy-paste edit and confidently Copyright violation. I think this page should to be Considered for the speedy deletion as per the Unambiguous copyright infringement criteria. What do you think about that? I have also found almost the same issue [1] on Rupa Goswami Wikipage. Both the pages was created by the same user Swamivishnu. If you find something wrong, which I mentioned please inform me.
