December 2015

[edit]

Please stop your disruptive behaviour. Your behaviour is verging on harassment. Wikipedia prides itself on providing a safe environment for its collaborators, and harassing other users, as you did on User_talk:Andy Toes, potentially compromises that safe environment. If you continue behaving like this, you may be blocked from editing. I have removed a comment which I take back and by restoring it you are harassing me. Andy Toes (talk) 20:47, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen the comment But instead of blanking the page, Please just remove the comment and comment only on your talk page. Thank you. TF { Contribs }

As per the talk page guidelines you have no right to restore any deleted comments onto my talk page and should you persist you will be in breach of the three revert rule and may be blocked from editing without further notice. And you're also wrong with your remark that I must comment only on my talk page. Because you've breached Wikipedia policies I have a right to let you know on your own talk page. I also want to blank the page so will not be self-reverting. Andy Toes (talk) 20:52, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, I'll leave your Talk Page alone from now onwards. TF { Contribs } 20:53, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

User talk page blanking

[edit]

Just wanted to let you know that users are allowed to blank their own talk pages, including most warnings, per the guideline at WP:BLANKING. —Laoris (talk) 20:52, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The current Situation with me and Andy Toes has been resolved. I shall leave him alone from now on. TF { Contribs } 20:56, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Or maybe not. He has now taken me to WP:AN3. TF { Contribs } 21:36, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Andy Has now been infef'd. TF { Contribs } 10:32, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Personal attack

[edit]

I removed PizzazzPicasso's personal attack on Checkingfax's talk page. I know the record'll probably have to be supressed, but I thought the attack should be got rid of as soon as possible, so I went ahead and blanked it. White Arabian Filly (Neigh) 21:21, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I just told him he shouldn't be abusing editors like that. It's not right. TF { Contribs } 21:28, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yugioh work group

[edit]

Since no other work group within the animanga wikiproject has a seprate rating system, would it be necessary for the Yugioh work group to have a seprate rating system at this point? Magicperson6969 (talk) 00:34, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly, I haven't looked at the WP:YGO Page for a while now and I should really. I'll probably do it within the next week or so. TF { Contribs } 19:17, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy notice

[edit]

Just FYI, I received the speedy notice for User talk:Pizzedd (musician), as I had initially created the page with a welcome template. In the past, I've just removed WP:SOAPBOX content from user talk pages.

This user looks like they're using two accounts, as well: Pizzedd (musician) and Pizzedd. I left a {{uw-agf-sock}} warning on the latter's talk page. If both accounts continue to show activity, I will file a report with WP:SPI. --Drm310 (talk) 17:04, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like RHaworth indef'd Pizzedd (musician) as a sock. Probably the last we'll hear from this user. --Drm310 (talk) 04:50, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

they need more info on the show itslef19:31, 6 December 2015 (UTC)Kimmy inc (talk)

@Kimmy inc: If the page needs more info on the show, make a new section and start writing a little bit about it! And FYI, removing comments on people's talk pages is a little bit rude TF { Contribs } 19:34, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
that's all the info I know but if you can help me that would be awesome. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kimmy inc (talkcontribs) 19:47, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Kimmy inc: Well, I don't really watch Stampy much anymore. But, you could look up some news stories and use information from them to make your edits better! And don't forget to Reference your sources! TF { Contribs } 19:50, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

rough draft studios they only worked on what I put there they did not make every single piece of animation out there — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kimmy inc (talkcontribs) 19:57, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Kimmy Inc: If you think that someone is adding wrong information, try to discuss it on that article's talk page. Or, if you have to, try talking to them on their talk page. TF { Contribs } 20:01, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rough Draft Inc

[edit]

Rough Draft Did not male every piece of animation there is just a few (that I left).

fro ex. SpongeBob and Ren and Stimpy are Nickelodeon, The Powerpuff Girls is Cartoon Network The Simpsons is Fox, Etc20:02, 6 December 2015 (UTC)Kimmy inc (talk)

@Kimmy inc: Hmm. I think the best way to go about this is to try and find some references that support your side. Then take those references and show someone else on the talk page for Rough Draft Studios. Otherwise, people will think it's just vandalism. TF { Contribs } 20:12, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

[edit]

Hi Titusfox/Archives/2015/December. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Biblioworm 17:15, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Talkback from User:UMasterTheGreat

[edit]
Hello, Titusfox. You have new messages at UMasterTheGreat's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

It was a mistake, I wanted to do an userpage, pls delete it. Thanks UMasterTheGreat (talk) 17:49, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've requested the WP:CSD for you. TF { Contribs } 17:54, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Teal Deer.jpeg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 21:10, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Titusfox, yeah sorry, twinkle did that automatically, I think because you moved the page (to a user page) and then the user re-created it. Sorry about the confusion Melcous (talk) 15:26, 15 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Chess

[edit]

Sorry to be nosey, as this is none of my business, but this is not checkmate! Black can still move the bishop from c5 to f8. From there the game could continue for a while, depending on how it is played. Anyway, just had to say that... =P Also note my decline at WP:PERM/MMS. A game promoting counter-vandalism is certainly a good thing, I think we should just make sure the mass message is properly constructed and indeed useful before granting you the right. So as I said please request delivery at WT:MMS and after a successful delivery or two we can add the MMS flag to your account. Cheers MusikAnimal talk 17:36, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@MusikAnimal:: Yea. I can see that the chess game isn't mate, but that's not the point. I understand why I've been declined the right, but I'll use the mass message sender probably when I can. Anywho, would you like to join up? We've already got a few players and I really couldn't care less about how many people join, as long as it's a community! TF { Contribs } { Edit Quest! } 17:43, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your RPG

[edit]

Hi. I can't say that I agree very much with the entire concept of your userspage on-wiki RPG; it all seems a bit pointless and looks like it'd take a lot of time to actually play. (Wikipedia isn't an MMORPG!) If you decide that you want to keep on doing it, I recommend that you use {{cot}} instead of {{hat}}, as those seem much more relevant. Thanks. Velebit ban

[edit]

Why did you make this edit [1]? There is effective consensus that Velebit is banned, and since that discussion there's no actual doubt about it. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:23, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Joy:: I thought that he was blocked, not banned. One of the add-ons I used told me he was blocked and not banned, so I changed it because a block is not a ban. TF { Contribs } { Edit Quest! } 18:25, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This is exactly why I used that note, to clarify that. If you can figure out the technical measure necessary to get the tool to mark it properly, that would be great. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:28, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Joy: IDK, I'm asking a sysop. TF { Contribs } { Edit Quest! } 18:33, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Joy: I've asked a Administrator/Oversighter/Checkuser named Alison if USer:Velebit is blocked or banned. TF { Contribs } { Edit Quest! } 18:42, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not that it matters, but I'm a sysop... merely relaying an existing community consensus that is linked from that tag there. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:55, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Joy: Had a look at the discussion and saw that it didn't say that he was banned, just that you had preposed a formal site ban and that it was supported once. I'm leaving this to you now however. If you say he's banned, then that's that. I'd still wait to see what User:Alison has to say though. TF { Contribs } { Edit Quest! } 19:03, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sometimes, there's just not a lot of interest in topics at WP:ANI, esp. when they aren't advertized elsewhere. Splitting the difference between an implied ban and an explicit ban for a case of abuse that affects a small subset of articles in a topic area known to be toxic (WP:ARBMAC) certainly sounds like one of those mind-numbing things that few people will take an interest in. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 19:32, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Joy:That's probably true. Although a block is not a ban, a ban is a ban. So, Implied or Explicit, then User:Velebit is banned. To be honest though, I'm already sick of this user and he's never interacted with me! :P TF { Contribs } { Edit Quest! } 19:52, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Alison for clearing that up. So Joy, that settles it. User:Velebit is banned! There should be a banned sockpuppet template... TF { Contribs } { Edit Quest! } 12:39, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please check history before tagging

[edit]

Titusfox, it's a good idea check the history before tagging for speedy deletion, as you did here. That was a proper article before it got vandalized. Bishonen | talk 20:03, 17 December 2015 (UTC).[reply]

@Bishonen: Yea, I saw after you reverted it back to before it was vandalized. Really should check from now on. TF { Contribs } { Edit Quest! } 20:05, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(That wasn't me, it was a helpful non-admin user.) It happens. It's really the admin's responsibility to check before they delete — but I've seen it be forgotten, so it's very good if the taggers help. Quite a nice change of the article, wasn't it? I've hardblocked the account that did it. Bishonen | talk 21:14, 17 December 2015 (UTC).[reply]

Hey.

[edit]

You can do a lot of stuff with your userspace. You can't use it for absolutely anything no matter what. For instance, running an RPG in your userspace? No, that's not okay. Especially not when it's an RPG themed around your edits to Wikipedia. Reverting vandalism = good; making it an RPG = bad. We do this because it needs to be done, not in order to earn XP.

I strongly recommend that you add deletion notices to those pages. Thank you in advance. DS (talk) 20:31, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@DragonflySixtyseven: Actually, I had a look at what you can't have on a user page and it says Games, roleplaying sessions, secret pages and other things pertaining to "entertainment" rather than "writing an encyclopedia". Such activities are generally frowned upon by the community. Games of no educational value relevant to the project are routinely deleted at MfD. The entire purpose of my RPG or Edit Quest is to have fun while helping Wikipedia, not to disrupt Wikipedia. Other Games of no educational value relevant to the project exist on the Wiki under WP:WGAMES including another game I have hosted under my userspace (User:Titusfox/Chessy)! Also, [...] Community-building activities that are not strictly "on topic" may be allowed[.] All quotes from WP:UPNOT. TF { Contribs } { Edit Quest! } 20:47, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup 2016 is just around the corner...

[edit]

Hello everyone, and we would like to wish you all a happy holiday season. As you will probably already know, the 2016 WikiCup begins in the new year; there is still time to sign up. There are some changes we'd like to announce before the competition begins.

After two years of serving as WikiCup judge, User:Miyagawa has stepped down as judge. He deserves great thanks and recognition for his dedication and hard work, and for providing necessary transition for a new group of judges in last year's Cup. Joining Christine (User:Figureskatingfan) and Jason (User:Sturmvogel 66) is Andrew (User:Godot13), a very successful WikiCup competitor and expert in Featured Pictures; he won the two previous competitions. This is a strong judging team, and we anticipate lots of enjoyment and good work coming from our 2016 competitors.

We would also like to announce one change in how this year's WikiCup will be run. In the spirit of sportsmanship, Godot13 and Cwmhiraeth have chosen to limit their participation. See here for the announcement and a complete explanation of why. They and the judges feel that it will make for a more exciting, enjoyable, and productive competition.

The discussions/polls concerning the next competition's rules will be closed soon, and rules changes will be made clear on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring and talk pages. The judges are committed to not repeating the confusion that occurred last year and to ensuring that the new rules are both fair and in the best interests of the competition, which is, first and foremost, about improving Wikipedia.

If you have any questions or concerns, the judges can be reached on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, on their talk pages, or by email. We hope you will all join us in trying to make the 2015 WikiCup the most productive and enjoyable yet. You are receiving this message because you are listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send.
