Teymuraz Gabashvili[edit]

Yes, the correct transliteration of Теймураз is Teymuraz, but the correct transliteration of თეიმურაზ is also Teimuraz. Gabashvili was born in Georgia. Maybe correcting the transliteration of his name was just converting his name from Georgian to Russian. What are your thoughts? Rovingrobert (talk) 14:09, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

I think the older naming convention should be removed. --User:Tomcat7 (talk) 17:48, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
Of course it should be removed from the lead. But I don't see why it can't be mentioned in a reference tooltip. Also, the ATP mistakenly referred to the correction as a 'change of name'. Thus, any info about Gabashvili on other pages from before 2010, when he corrected the transliteration, should probably give his name as transliterated from Georgian. Vasily Levit[edit]

Hi. I'd advise to refrain from any further reverts on this article and raise the concerns on the talkpage. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 14:18, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
